Thanks narcist , looks like a good deal for all 3 :)

I've updated your title to include a price and retailer name, please try to remember these :)
Thanks for that, i posted the deal in a rush will remember next time :)
also a 3 year warranty for £20
John lewis sell this package minus the stand for £1128 so you could get a price match and a five year warranty, but it wouldn't include the stand.
One of my friends bought this yesterday, thought this would be red hot!!
Oh well i think it expires midnight tonight.
So can anyone tell me which TV is better, this one or...

Try this site for reviews

I think the other TV has one more HDMI socket, it depends if you just want a TV if you need the recorder and stand.
link no longer works .. i think this offer has been pulled - I can't find it on the site anymore :x

SonicMan, both TVs are not far off eachother, i would say this one is slighly better quality but the other has more hdmi ports. Overall this is a better deal coz of the bundle. But both TVs lack in SD viewing.

I would say go for a Samsung LCD of the same price range and you'll be happier, as they tend to have better reviews regarding SD input, not to mention overall better black levels resulting in richer colour.

Or better yet spend a bit extra and go for plasma (pioneer or panasonic or jujitsu) as they are better for gaming (due to the 0ms response time) and SD viewing. Think there are some fujitsu 1080i models out there for £950, which will prob give you better visuals than most 1080p LCDs.

Just my opinion, I am a plasma fanboy :-)

Televisions Dept - 7% off (use code at paypal checkout)

Unverified by myself, but it is valid until 31/03/08

If the codes work, then you pay via paypal the total would then become roughly £729

EXPIRED? oh well the 7% paypal code for empire direct i posted should be well known and is still valid
