No.

These are now going to be voted consistently cold until someone posts its £499 reappearance at JL with that messiah type warranty or an unlikely post to better that one.

I've just ordered this with M&S .. it works out at £581.03 after VAT delivered & installed with a 5 year M&S Warranty & 5% Quidco back so a total of £551.98 http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/306758/sony-kdl40v4000-40-lcd-tv-499-insto/images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif

The Amazon deal does sound the best of a worse bunch (comparing it to offers before).

However, the 3 year guarantee claim is a .pdf form that you print off and send to Sony. If you read it, the guarantee form specifically quotes purchases should be made within the time period 20th October and 24th December 2008.

As this is being sold by Amazon today, is the guarantee going to be valid, or will they just bin it at Sony?

Thanks bigup, I'm still not convinced though, they've amended it in the description but the downloadable pdf guarantee form still states 24th December!
