This was posted a few weeks ago at £399 without a 3 year warranty and got very hot HERE
And don't forget Quidco and the 5% RAC discount making this an ever better bargain

EDIT: didn't realise it came with a 5 year guarantee back then, thought M&S had put the price up recently to go with the 5 year gurantee

strange post for 20k poster. Just type 32S5500 into google and you will see why. As mentioned above £369.99 with Amazon. Therefore Available for £348.99 re MBNA vouchers.

Main reason is because Richer sounds do it for £349.99! Just go to John Lewis and get them to price match and you will get 5yr warranty for free included. Hope this helps.

Not available online at Richer Sounds; £349.99 with 12 month guarantee; Take 5% off this and it is £351.49 and you get Quidco on top; so I don't see how Richer Sounds (instore) only and Amazon are better prices

I didn't say to get it from Richer Sounds! You get it from John Lewis (online if you are that desperate!) re price match with 5yr Guarantee included.. Also said how cheaper at Amazon.

You have been given more than one sensible reason but for some reason you don't want to listen....

Yes decent TV. Looking at 26" for my mum but probably going for the slightly better Panasonic TXL26X10b with 5yr warranty... trying to beat £367.98 at mo. Mum just won't have a bigger tv.

John Lewis (with 5 yr guarantee) = £379 with trade-in.

It is not a case of I "don't want to listen"; I have listened but your information is a bit misleading.
“We do not apply our shops' 'Never Knowingly Undersold' pricing promise to our online and catalogue prices. We do not price match any online or catalogue competitor prices. This is because we are unable to verify the availability and comparability of the goods and the standards of service and support that are offered by others. However, you can always be assured of the same dedication to competitive pricing and exceptional value you find in our department stores. For information on our shops' ‘Never Knowingly Undersold' statement, please contact your local branch.”

John Lewis do not match online prices; they will only match instore prices and there will have to be a Richer Sounds and John Lewis in the same town or city before they will price match. For example, if this is available in Leeds branch of Richer Sounds you can buy it in Leeds John Lewis with a price match. IE You cannot go into Liverpool John Lewis and say that its available instore at Richer Sounds and expect them to price match. Also I don't think John Lewis will give you a 5 year guarantee when the price at Richer Sounds is £349.99 with a one year guarantee. The price at Play is (after 5% RAC code) £351.49 with 0.5% Quidco (making it £349.73) with a 5 year guarantee. So to buy it slightly more expensive with only a 1 year guarantee at John Lewis you will have to find out which store or stores it is available in and hope that the same town/city also have a John Lewis store. Just seems a fair bit of unnecessary work.

I am unclear as to what you mean with MBNA vouchers and how they work. I believe that you have to be a MBNA card holder to qualify as per the info on their website "Please type in your mbna lifestyle entry code or first six digits of your credit card number"; but I have to admit as I am not a MBNA cardholder I do not know how this works so would be grateful if you could explain as it seems useful (if you are a MBNA cardholder).

why can't people read? John Lewis are whatever price you get them to price match! So if Richer sounds are £349.99 then John Lewis are £349.99 with 5 yr warranty.

John Lewis DO give the 5yr warranty free (in fact so do Panasonic on there tv's - check website) if price matched - mentioned many times on here in other tv deals which I have looked at while trying to find decent tv. Basically they will do this because you should expect your TV to last this long and if you were bothered you could get it fixed f.o.c even if you only had one yr warranty BUT I am NOT going into this.

MBNA is something I saw mentioned the other day (didn't know about it even though I have MBNA card) and basically you get 7% off £100 vouchers - pay £93.

I just think personally that people will see Amazon price or Richer Sounds and think it is the better deal.

Just incase anyone reads this and is looking for a 26" TV. The Sony KDL26S5500 is currently £319.99 in Sainsburys. Maybe local.

I'd be tempted more by the Panasonic Viera X10 Series 32" TX-L32X10 It's only £30 more. Also

FREE 5 YEAR WARRANTY on most PANASONIC VIERA TVs @ Selected Participating Dealers

But this TV with a 5 year guarantee is £384.90 at Richer Sounds; are you 100% sure that they would match the £349.95 price? IE if John Lewis match the same deal as Richer Sounds (which is my understanding of their T&Cs) wouldn't it have to be the same deal rather than a different one?
#17
i think John Lewis free warranty differers from the Richer Sounds one in terms of timescale or pickup, repair and turn around times, aswell as cutoff point before they issue a new TV.

basically with the John Lewis one, you could be waiting 28 days or more for your tv to be repaired, add on that wait time for pickup too.

You tell me.
Richer is £349.95 + £34.95 for 5 yr guarantee = Three hundred and eight four pounds 90 pence!!

Jeez... Just look through other threads re John Lewis - why do I bother.... John Lewis will price match the Richer Sounds (also available at other places) basic price and the 5yr warranty is included in the sale. I don't wish to sound rude BUT I would guess that you are not the type of person who could ask for a price match.
