Must be a Miss Price. Just grabbed one. These are selling on Amazon at £1129 and most other places between £1100-£1350. Top Top Deal. Cheers!
#2
Nooooo! I need to order you in a few hours, don't go hot or I'll never get it. :(
[mod]#3
to the muppets who vote cold -find cheaper and let me know
#4
its not a bad price for this 2yr old model
the new one, the 46v5500, is only 879 on amazon

I've done a little bit of research, this is a good price, its a 2008 model, reviews say it is good but not outstanding, the W series seem to do better. Sonys always seem to be a bit overpriced anyway, but £649.99 for a mid range 46" is a good deal.
#6
this is a discontinued product.
#7
Would of been cheap 2 years ago when it was current.... But I think it's just discounted to shift stock as its 2 generations old.
#8
Find this quite interesting as the V series was meant to be HD Ready rather than full HD

and the W series ofcourse was always full HD.
#9
This is still a HOT Deal - Good Find....
For £645 - You will be hard pressed to find a better TV..
#10
It's a hot deal, but the tv isn't the best

WHAT a deal man.. love it but .. dont need one for now.. but great find.
#12
A good few comments worth reading here.

Might help decide.

Does this do 1:1 pixel mapping when plugged into a PC? I really want a giant 1080p monitor! :)
#16
Good price - but not a misprice; it will likely sell for this price next year (in 4 weeks)
#18
I've had the W version of this for 2 years and it's great. Also got the 32" V one.
This is a really good deal for the money.
Out of the box setting will be pants, but once set up properly it will look great from >2m away
#19
With the partial release of DVB-T2 today now is really not a good time to buy an expensive T.V!?!
Personally I would hold off and wait for a bit as new DVB-T2 models will start to flood the market which could very well drive down the price of non HD Freeview enabled TV's.

Also this T.V ain't that great considering that there are other much better LCD's that are now on the market at not a great deal more money!
#20
this is an old generation sony tv... 4000 is now 5500 . plus V was one of the lower spec models...

Good deal but it's 2 years out of date.
I don't think it has 100 Hz refresh and the Bravia engine isn't as good as the new ones.

It's 50hz and of course the bravia engine isn't as good as the new ones.....it is 2 years old as you already said

But for £650 it's a good buy
#23
Now thats what I call a deal.
#24
It's not too bad for this price. But I would like to pay 100 qiud more for Panasonic 46G10.
#25
There's no free sat on this is there?
#26
Does anybody know where can you get the cheap stand for this TV too?

Sony Bravia V Series 46" 46V4000 HD 1080p Freeview Widescreen LCD TV (Includes Sony 3 Year Guarantee)

£1299.99 Free Delivery

It's expired. Must have been a misprice. Good luck to anyone who ordered.

Looks like they have rectified it.. back to £1299.99

After my last Sony TV I wouldn't touch them again! Trading on a reutation earned years ago in my opinion and not up to standard any more. I'd be more inclined to go Panasonic or even Toshiba - or just go for a really cheap brand and save the money.

May be unfair to condemn on a sample of one but I've heard this from so many other people too.
#31
hmmz.. well LED LCD is where the party is at now.
No i won't be sorry to see conventional CFL screens go with their fictitious contrast ratios!
#32
I got two as I said earlier. Anyone want one for £899.?

I'll check when at home but off the top of my head, something like this (sad I know)

Cinema mode
Backlight : 2
Contrast: 80
Brightness: 50
Colour: 36
Warm1
Sharpness: Min or 1
NR Off
Mpeg NR: Off
Adv Contrast: Off
Live Colour: Off

Have a go with these, I'll confirm my settings over the weekend
Increase the colour and brightness for PS3.
Remember the settings are per input so you can have different ones to suit Sky/freeview/PS3 etc
