Not quite CR_&_JR, it's 10p each, but still cheap. ;)

which is the better disc? sony or verbatim?

Both good quality and never had problems with either. Truth be told I bought the Verbatims.
For more info there is a long explanation here http://club.myce.com/f33/verbatim-vs-sony-257488/

Great for burning Ubuntu onto and handing out to people.

verbatim without a doubt

Half price you mean half sainsburys inflated price.

100's of Verb DVD-R's were £9.99 at Sainsbury's a few weeks back, according to hotukd. Never any in my middling local though.

Can't comment on Sony but I have used 100's of Verbatim CD's and DVD's and to date have not had any problems at all.

50 Sony DVD-/+R's are £7.99 too.

I use the Sony ones all the time, Ive worked in a few nightclubs and I know for a fact that they work on any system ive used, where as other brands sometimes have failed to be read in the players
