I played with one of these in comet, Nice system but not very loud, still tempted to get one for the kitchen though.

Can you plug in an media player into these?

Tried one of these out in store. Fine for £50 and heat to the OP. Don't go expecting decent sound quality though. As in all the cheaper systems the speakers are where they cut the cost (the worst place!). You actually get much better quality from something like a Pure Evoke (although not for 50 quid and not with all the extra features)

Yes - you need to get a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable as it only has a line in, not RCA sockets. It's just got the stereo headphone jack at each end.

You can use this sort of cable to hook up things to your line in on your PC as well. They cost about £15 for a Belkin one at Currys, or online from about £3.60 inc delivery (can't remember where). I got a better quality one for £4.34 (inc delivery) from Cables 4 All.

Thanks Crossbow, needed one in a hurry so just bought in store. Heat added.

Reserved one of these for collection at my local store, unbelivable price for a CD player, DAB radio & Tape player.
Looks really cheap and nasty tho, didnt end up buying it. Cheap sony stuff usually looks ok but this looks like a kiddies toy.
Ah well, if ya dont mind the look, its a fantastic deal

Buy through Quidco for store pick up at Comet and it costs £47.28. (£49 less £1.72 cashback). They're neat little systems and the DAB radio is good enough for kitchen. I'm using the speakers from an older Aiwa system that it's replacing and the sound quality is fine.

Sony, DAB, Connectivity to phone/MP3 - for less than £50.

I've ordered 2 for the kids - nice Xmas present to go with the Wii and the DS.

How much have I spent???????????? Ouch!
