900mAh is pretty low though. really depends what device you are going to use these for.

900 is pretty low for AA. For AAA it's above average. I've seen nowhere on the high street selling higher than 1000.

Seems pretty hot this.

Brought this charger with AA batteries a few months ago. Seriously compact charger and the charging part folds away when not in use. Does only charge 1 or 2 batteries at a time which while charging one is a bonus as some of them don't, some of the other chargers charge 4 at a time so worth baring in mind. Bargain at this price.

never buying sony stuff again - deal or not.

The battle they are having with geohot is completely unfair and Sony feel they have the right to abuse customers rights.

This deal isn't fantastic anyway, as other poster mentioned, the batteries are of low capacity.

I’m half expecting it to have an incomprehensible remote control.

These were an elusive Sainsbury's deal not so long ago - 99p. Didn't manage to track any down, so this looks next best thing.

Lol, I hope geohot gets jailed along with all the rest of the so-called hackers. They really are a marvellous bunch of freedom fighters - now fighting for their freedom!

Oh, 900mAh is really good for AAA. You're wrong about that too it seems :)

Fair enough but imagine you took in your landrover for a service and they converted in to 2 wheel drive.

You wouldn't be happy.

Now geohot didn't crack the ps3 for piracy, he did it to regain otheros
#9
Sony sold the ps3 with the ability to install other operating systems, which they removed in an "upgrade"

Anyway, you're right about the price, isn't too bad for 2 aaa batteries and a charger.

But looking at what you can buy - 4 x 1000mah batteries for £3.50 from amazon, play etc

thanks.

And look what it brought about...10 y.o kids using hacks on games. Awesome. I hope Sony manage to pull off the legal courtcase...no-one should be allowed to ruin other peoples gaming experience. And you're analogy is pretty stupid...

Cheers OP, ordered 1 :D

I've agreed that the deal is quite good, and I've also voted hot, so please ignore the part of my response that is negative to the deal which what this forum is about.

Why regards to my analogy being stupid - I completely disagree.

This probably isn't the forum for this and feel free moderators to remove my comments on this post.

Plainly and simply, Sony removed from the product, a feature which they marketed the PS3 on, this feature was OtherOS, and not only was it the reason some people bought the PS3, it also allowed Sony to import the item with less tax, as it was classed as a computer, not a games console.

With regards to destroying the gaming experience, yes I agree it is unfortunate but this has been happening for many years with PC gaming, and also with the 360.

It is due to lazy coding by the developers, and they should be patching this a lot quicker then they have been doing, and Sony SHOULD be banning anyone who installs CFW on their machines.

So please explain how my analogy is stupid it works the situation perfectly.

1) A company advertises an item with a feature that persuades you to buy it
2) Once bought the same company "upgrades" the product removing the feature you purchased the item for.

Let me think of another analogy, would you consider it acceptable to buy a high end sports car, then the company restrict the car to 70Mph.

You can't complain because that's the speed limit in this country, but some people will want to take the car track racing etc.
