Good price for a superb camera. Voted hot!

Have patience 'hasoo1' !! :D The first votes for expensive cameras are often cold because a lot of people are unaware of the cutting edge/quality offered by those. Quick hot votes are mostly given for below £100 cameras. That is what I have observed here for last few years.

Another worth mentioning point is that this camera has been available online ( for the same price) at two more dealers for £179.00 for quite some time now.

Good luck with hot votes :)

Superb camera!

It also takes SD SDHC cards as well as the usual expensive Sony memory stick cards which is a first for me with a Sony camera so you can get the 32Gb SD class 10 card from 7dayshop for £26.99 way cheaper than the £100ish for a 32Gb Sony Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo

Grrr! always the way that another deal comes along fairly quickly.

I missed the 169.99 Amazon deal and needed a camera in a hurry so got a cheap Panny FS-30 as a stop gap.

I tried the FS30, but sent it back. Not sharp enough at full zoom, and not that great overall. Bought this at the weekend, and I'm pretty pleased with it - well worth the £65 extra. Nice sharp pictures and video so far with auto mode, and I'm confident that once I figure out the other modes the results will improve.

Yes - but you'll get it in your paws straight away at Jessops. IPS and GPS are both great on this camera.
