Nice.

nice camera...shame the memory cards cost soo much more than the standard sd cards other cameras use like the panasonics

Nice....i've got the w210 and it's a great little camera for the price (I paid 130 i think about 6 months ago) £99 for this model, which I'm assuming is the update, is a steal.

Remember that sony cameras take pro duo memory cards which are pricier, not your normal SDHC memory cards. However, there are adapters available i think for only a couple of quid.

On another note, Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS7 for £105ish or this?:?

The Panasonic DMC-FS7 does not have a wide angle lens like this Sony.
You need to compare it with the DMC-FS15 which does have a wide angle lens which is £137.88 on Amazon.

Voted hot.

Probably better off going a few years forward for the best technology deals.

Panasonic every time. Superb lenses and none of this MemoryStick nonsense. Sony cameras aren't anything special.

I still use my Sony DSC-W30.

Can anyone justify for me please why I should spend the cash to get this new & improved model?!

I'm having difficulty convincing myself it will be worth the extra £100!

(I love and loath this site for making me spend money!) :)

Go and get a proper Panasonic and find out what you've been missing!

You could get a couple of these which allow you to use MicroSD cards in MemoryStick Pro Duo devices:

http://www.mymemory.co.uk/Memory-Stick-PRO-DUO/MyMemory/MyMemory-MicroSD-%5E-MS-Pro-Duo-Adaptor

I have one in my Sony camera and it works a treat.

Why bother, buy a camera that uses standard sd cards, like canon, panasonic etc. Sony must have lost so many sales with their stubborn refusal to bury their stillborn baby "memory stick". I never even consider them.

Great deal, quidco was tracked at £3.20 - gets price down even more

Bought this camera yesterday. £95 with the voucher code (jessops5) Best camera ive ever bought for under a 100 quid, smile detection, decent zoom, landscape shots and wide angle shots, small and light with a case. Leads to attach it to your TV. What more do you want?.....The Pro duo cards are not that dear aswell. 2GB pro duo for £5 quid on ebay, takes 1300 pictures. Top notch camera, reccomend to anyone
#23
I'd spend the £20 extra and get the W220 with optical steadyshot instead from Amazon or a Panny with same for similar price. Optics on these cheaper Sony not the best.

That's the price of a sandisk 4gb sd card in Morrisons, a 100% mark up seems dear to me, especially for a memory card you can't use in anything but Sony.
