Use the code CWRX100 to get this price. I've been stalking this camera for a while and this is the best deal I have seen so I've ordered. Hope this helps someone else too!

On Amazon, Jessops, Wex etc the cheapest you can get just the camera and case is £410+ (£360+ after cashback).

Seems extortionate for the spec

When do stalkers listen to reason?

Best point and shoot you can buy at that price point.

Can you find this camera cheaper? Can you find an alternative camera with a similar spec (i.e. a 1 inch sensor or above and bright F1.8 lens in a compact body) cheaper?

I have the M2 version, the images this takes are at times, simply breath-taking.

I went for the RX100M2 from Cameraworld last week for £400 after Sony cashback. Really happy with the service from Cameraworld and the camera. Hot deal.

Ah, should have double checked.

Great deal & I would recommend anyone (with the money) to get this camera - it is capable of taking fantastic pics & the images will take a decent amount of post processing, unlike images from most compact cameras & even some CSC's...

Just be aware this is the first RX100 model. There are the 2 and the 3 above that.

With all respect to emmellar the M1 is still a fantastic piece of kit. On Snapsort it still beats the M2 and M3 despite the added NFC, limited tilt screen, wifi, and with the M3 electronic viewfinder:

http://snapsort.com/compare/Sony-Cyber-shot-DSC-RX100-II-vs-Sony-Cybershot-DSC-RX100

As DpReview concludes: 'Is the RX100 II worth the cost of a mid-range interchangeable lens system? And would you be better off saving some money and buying the now-discounted RX100 instead? That depends. If a slightly-less-noisy ISO 3200 JPEG is worth an extra $150 to you, then the RX100 II will be the better investment. If you can live with a little more noise, don't care much for a tilting LCD and don't plan to use Wi-Fi sharing, then you're better off with an RX100.'

Personally, the difference between the M1 and M2 photograph-wise is slight, so it comes down to price and whether you really need to upload 15-20mb pictures to your phone to share straight away, use wifi rather than a cable, and can live without a rather finicky tilt screen... so it's between £280 (M1) for a very simialr photograph quality £400 (M2) or the dreamy £699 (M3)...

Of course, I'd love the M3, but £699 is rather steep and there are better options for that price range.

So I'd get the M1 and save the £120 saved from not buying the M2 to go on holiday and take photos. Unless someone can get me a M3 for 400? ;)

Like all launch products, the mk3 is price gouging.

Give it a few months and since the asking price in the us pre tax is $800, reckon you could get hold of it at £500 on grey import from the usual suspects

Each model has its merits, but the mk1 with a sd wi if card is all I need.

Agree with all above - just thought it would be worth pointing out to the more hasty buyer who might not realise the different models.
