Got a link or catalogue code?

The cheapest Cannon I can find @ Argos is ten pounds more expensive.

I used to work for Jessops and this camera was a pain. It seemed to be returned frequently. I'm not saying they are all like it, just in my experiences. Being double AA, be prepared to pay out a fortune in batteries.

cmumford... How about rechargables? A lot easier to carry a few spares in your back pocket than a wall.

Review: http://www.cameras.co.uk/reviews/sony-dsc-s2000.cfm

Doesn't look that good to me. I'd pay a little more and get something better than this.

But if you really do want one this was a better deal 2 weeks ago http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/sony-cyber-shot-dsc-s2000-compact-d/728860#comments with QUIDCO

"Ideal for beginners" = good for those who know no better!

Sony brand is overrated/overpriced, but at least this one takes SD cards.

Not if you actually read them!

The first one reviews the next model up, the second and third describe the product rather than review it and the fourth is where my link came from: Which shows the user score of 8.1 out of 10 and experts of 5.8 out of 10! I tend to listen more to experts when buying things.

Not saying you are wrong (and I'm not a camera expert by any means) but I tend to take much more notice of user reviews than "expert" reviews who much of the time I find tend to harshly judge products either based on obscure functions/features that are rarely used by your typical point-and-click user or they ramble on highlighting so called "flaws" that are barely perceptable to an average person.

Fine, listen to the experts if you are an avid photographer and need everything to be the absolute best it can be - however in that case I suspect you wouldn't be buying a £50 camera in the first place...

Just my 2 cents.

Cents? Is this £50 or $50? Heheh!

Fair points though. Although I do try to have a look at both sets of review. Also I like to have a look at you tube to get a better idea of the feel of most things before opting in or out. Sadly this can be a frustrating process with most being done by spoilt 10 year old yanks.

I added a cheapie thing and a £5 money off voucher. Worth a punt as I love my P200 7mp one so will see how this fairs. :)
