How is it high? Can you see it anywhere else for cheaper? Please don't mention pixmania (where you get a french version of the camera and no easy way of returning it should it be faulty - not to mention horrendous customer support).

Let me know when you find it for free and I'll have one too!!

This is why I wasn't gonna boher posting it, so much negativity on HUK nowadays, less and less deals being posted...

I paid £180 in the Jan sale, as i said, so this is a good price!!

I like the look of the camera, how does it compare to to say the Panasonic TZ range or Canon SX range?

Is the Double Anti-blur with Optical SteadyShot image stabilisation the same as image stabilisation-assume it is and does the same think ensuring you have great shots not blured shots?

Sorry looking for a new camera, the only thing that puts me off is that I have 4 SD cards and sony cameras dont accept SD so would have to buy new memory cards.

Will go and look at it on the wbesite, great price

it is priced at £165 in about 5 shops, so it might be cheaper using jessops code but its not really an exciting price. If it was priced at £130ish then yes it is a hot deal, but at this price it is just slightly cheaper then average.

Which shops exactly? I went into the Sony Store who have reduced it to £199 and they were flabbergasted that Jessops were offering it at such a low price. They wouldn't even consider matching the price!

Of course there are stores "online" who may offer what looks like a similar deal, but they are usually rubbish when it comes to returning goods etc. Pixmania for example are atrocious and all of your camera documentation comes in french!.

As I said before, no wonder people don't bother posting deals anymore.

Thanks for posting the camera deal. My mate has had two of these cameras. The first one he bought before going to Thailand for a holiday last year, he paid a good few quid more than this. Whilst he was on a boat trip he was using the camera taking a few photos as you do when in Bangkok. He was using the strap for the whole journey and the battery was low. As the boat came into dock he got it out and thought to take a couple of shots before the battery died.

As he lined up his shot the boat hit the mooring and after a frantic juggle it went plop!!! He told me that the boat collectively gasped as it hit the water. A fella sat behind consoled him by saying that he 'could buy the new model.' He had owned it for 6 days at that point!

He then bought another in Thailand and claimed on his insurance. He likes the camera.:)

OMG! Fella sat behind would have lost his teeth if that was me! That is so sad, a camera of sheer gorgeousness now sitting at the bottom of the deep blue :(

All more expensive than Jessops! and at least 3 of those I wouldn't touch with a barge pole! :?
Pixmania has the worst customer service ever.

Best cameras on the other hand looks a really good deal! depends on what case you get though, usually a flakey one size fits all thing!

The Sony Cybershot DSC-T77 is not an SLR yet SPRING10 is code for cameras except SLR
But you are right, the code does not appear to work for this camera.
I added a Nikon Coolpix S210 then the code worked!
So really current price is £149 as shown.

Note, if you add Sony Cybershot DSC-T77 & say something around £10 like Energizer Duo Charger + 2 x AA Batteries and use code SPRING10 the basket deducts £10!
