Beware! If you buy a Sony camera you are tied to very expensive MemoryStick memory. SD cards are pretty much the universal standard now and are very cheap.

Frankly, Sony cameras are overpriced and this doesn't look like much of deal at 100 quid (even if it is a genuine reduction). There are lots of very good cameras out there with similar or better spec at significantly lower prices and they regularly turn up on HUKD. I'd recommend a Panasonic (SD card memory) any day. You should still be able to get the FS4 (with 4x optical zoom) in Tesco for £89 or less and Staples are still doing the FS3 for under £80.

i wouldnt say they are very expensive, they used to be. but not not any more. its about £14 for 4gb cards, hardly going to break the bank is it

I recently bought a Panasonic FS15 for £126 from dixons. Great camera, just a shame the installed software is version 1.3.

Still considerably more than SD cards and not universal like SD.

Last SDs I bought were £3.50 for 2Gb, which is probably the ideal size. I wouldn't want to use 4Gb as you are risking too many precious shots on one card (card failure or loss) and managing that many (possibly well over 1,000 shots) becomes more difficult.

PS Last FS4 was in my local Tesco today for £60!
