doubt its a misprice , the cybershot h7 is a higher spec model to the h5 with 8.1 megapixel and 15x optical zoom and is just £187.99 (rrp £299) .....

Exactly right Rooney10, as the h7 is out newwer model this is not a great buy!! but is still decent!!

you can get the pansonix range with 12x zoom too...
many cameras coming out with large zooms at lower prices.

I do not belive its a MIS PRICE prob getting Rid of old stock

Just trying to decide whether to buy this or not. I can't seem to find stock anywhere else and from reviews it seems at least a year and a half old. Fleabay are selling a slightly different lower(?) H2 model for £133 + £18 delivery. :?

As far as I can tell, for the extra £51 for the 1Gb bundle, you get the following extras:

1Gb Memory Stick Pro Duo - Between £20 to £30 depending on brand,
independent padded soft camera case - £10?,
spare set of AA NiMh rechargeable batteries - £6?
and digital camera accessory kit (includes a mini tripod, cleaning cloth, lcd screen protectors and a memory card case) - £15

That about covers the £51, right?

So is £129 really such a bargain? And should I get it (she asks as she hears a crescendo-ing chorus of Buy! Buy! BUY!)? :giggle:

i agree , its highly unlikely to be a mis-price ... its not a bad price at all considering the reviews.
Although , that said , i'm sure there are many other good buys out there too ........ my advise is , dont be too hasty here , it aint a giveaway and is priced at what its probably worth in todays market.

One more thing , the pictures shown on the earlier posts show a superb looking camera that looks pretty substantial , in reality this camera is tiny and perhaps may seem a little dissapointing to some when they actually see the camera. For me , this is my only gripe , it is rather too small and light.

balls,

my credit card was out in a shot

oh well, its not a bad deal

i just cancelled my order

I wouldn't rush to buy this personally, for the simple fact that it's a Sony and it uses Pro Duo memory cards.
#14
This latest model is the H7, the H5 was released July 2006!
#15
Thanks OP, I rushed to buy this, amongst other reasons for the bonuses that it's a Sony and it uses Pro Duo memory cards.

cheers

Hi,

I've got a 3.1 Sony Cybershot which is old but the main problem with it is how slow it is to take a photo and the orange light thrown out when taking a photo with a flash which again takes ages to take a photo.
Most photos are of my baby daughter and she has moved by the time the picture has taken.

Is this camera a good upgrade i.e takes picture the moment the button is pressed?
Similar size to cybershot? (OB good for me a si have memory cards already).

Cheers.
