#4
Can't find any in stock in Birmingham or Solihull.
#5
doesnt have DIVX, kills it for me, good price though, hope some one can find one, none in my area
#6
maybe hot for finders - no stock locally

Great piece of kit :)

I might be wrong, but I don't think this has got any optical inputs, so you can't have surround sound from your console, only the built in DVD player.

I does have optical input for ps3/xbox/skyhd.

Have been looking for a surround sound set for a while. This is one of the ones I was looking at.

But no stock in Cardiff area :(

This unit is the mutts for the money.
I have it hooked up to my PS3 (via optical) and it is loud. USB input for pictures & music is also quite handy.

It doesn't do DivX but my PS3 does so not really bothered there but I guess many people would be.
#11
None around the Bournemouth area, darn it...

Awesome deal. Bought one of these acouple of weeks back and its superb.

Better than the 280 model too which was released after.... The 260 has the fibre optic port :) Easy setup for gaming in full surround sound.

However, I did see it at argos too at the time I was looking and tried nearly every store with a hundred mile radius and found none in stock.

Only store I found that had one was a comet which was ex display. They wanted £150 for it with no box, remote, wires, or manual. Yep, I walked away lol.

Apparently according to the chaps at PC World ireland have quite afew of these so maybe worth trying them out. It is worth it imo. Excellent system.

Just use a 360 or PS3 and stream your DIVX from your PC using TVersity - at least, that's what I do :)

Edit - Can't find any stock between around Leicester, Nottingham or Sheffield. Hope someone manages to find one!

Just out of interest what setting do you have your sub set to in the settings menu, I've set mine to -3 (range is -6 to +6), otherwise when watching something with a DTS soundtrack my TV starts shaking lol

LOL so true. When I first unpacked the unit, I looked at the speakers and I thought what a weedy system this is then I watched Star Wars and it felt like the sofa was moving.
#19
I have this system too, very good and well worth the money, I also paid £130 from Amazon a while back.

Just a question, how do you change to sub / speaker levels??
#20
Got this from Amazon last year for £118 - well worth the money.

And as for the lack of Divx - WHY? Might as well watch dvds with 5:1 sound through this system. The up scaling by the player gives a cracking picture too.

Its quite a big unit mind - very deep, I needed to cut a hole in the back of my base unit, also it makes a bit of noise whirring about as it finds the right bit of the disc to play. But these are minor issues very good for the money I think.
#21
apparently the UK verison is only version that does not play Divx, which is a real stinker

also theirs remote control hacks around to make this multi region

i wana get one hopefully they have it in stock

i missed out on the amazon and richer sounds deals 6 months ago then, they were discontinued and the new version had some sort of limited connectivity features think the dz280

Gr8 deal! Hot IMO!

I'm in the market for a Home Theatre system with wireless rear speakers and decent reviews. Will highly appreciate any suggestions, thanks.

Cheers,

You need to be on the DVD setting - then press the System Menu Button on the remote and its in one of the bottom two options - I cant remember which and am not near mine to check, but I think you have to choose an option labelled custom.

I searched through all the Argos in a large stripe between Portsmouth/Brighton and Northampton/Bedford, as far West as Oxford and including the West half of London but I couldn't find a single one available... I reckon this should be expired, unless anybody else has found at least one to show it was not a one-off.
It would be a brilliant deal so I'm a bit disappointed. I have voted hot by the way.
