i have this baby and it superb the sub is "big" and it`s directional (meaning needs to really face you to get best sound" but the speakers are small and as my wife says "hidden" 10//10 for me and a bloody great deal here ! heat heat heat !

Bloddy hell! That's a hot deal. As already mentioned, very wife friendly satellite speakers, that are literally the size of a golf ball..

This is a good deal - I paid a lot more than that a year ago and am happy with it. That said, if I didn't have two toddlers kicking about I'd probably choose something else that doesn't have the large directional sub.

Its not a bad price but with postage its £293. Cheapelectricals are selling for £290 delivered (although it says they can't deliver til end Jan), so staying neutral on this.

So do I Steven, however it is well made quiet heavy and most 5.1 have largish Subs, but I take your point that most other amps can be hidden.

Are the rear speakers wireless as it appears they are judging by the Sony website.
If so, does this affect the quality of the sound?
#7
would this be ideal for PS3 anyone and does it provide the surround experience?
#8
Hurrah for the games console question! Yes this would work with the PS3, and it has a number of surround speakers (five funnily enough) so does provide a surround experience - unless you put them all on your head, which you could do with these, but then that would be a stupid experience.

I have the 360 experience running through the system and I can confirm if the games are much more enthralling.

Get it, you will be very pleased.

To be honest you could spend a lot less than this on something else and get the surround experience. This is only for you if you need wireless rears and speakers the size of my knads!

heh heh. Actually if you attach them to coat hangers and put them on your head it sounds better

i been looking for this but this is not the cheapest, comet are selling these for £299 but if you add their 10% off voucher i cant remember the code, potentially it is £270 delivered.
you can find their 10% codes on many voucher websites or it might even be on hukd, good luck, comet are showing out of stock at the mo.

thanks bargainhunter & prof yaffle.

pokey - logitech x540 have five speakers too but don't provide the surround sound experience from PS3 and there are other sytems like that including my current Sony setup that has dts, dolby digital, pro-logic II but guess what it is only for the build in DVD function and not for the digital optical input so I only get 2.0 & hence the question!
