Good spotting heman, this is a good deal. I ordered one for £199 on sunday and its a brilliant camera, well worth the money. I'm very impressed with it.

Does this have a filter thread on the lens?

had to haggle with CS to match the £12 difference between Sunday and today...settled for £7 as the master card promotion applied initially will not be paid it seems :-/ anyways going to bed rich by £7 :)

Glad u got some back, I also asked them to refund the difference and they did so quite willing (was expecting abit of a battle tbh)

Going to sound like a complete dick now but I'm not that clued up with cameras tbh, still learning about this one. Can't really answer your question as I'm not really sure what a filter thread on the lens is sorry x

Yes, I can confirm it does (unlike earlier models). I bought this before Christmas in earlier lightning deal for £51 more. Not even used it yet :( oh well great camera. Pretty large for a bridge, almost DSLR size.

Thanks for the info on the filter thread, gave it a miss as i was put off by the negative reviews regarding image quality.Lovely looking camera though.

I got mine 3 days ago...first impressions(im not expert), its a quite good camera in general and not bad at all in low light conditions as long as top image quality on full resolution is not essential...AF a little slow sometimes, specially on higher zoom, viewfinder bad imo, noise on higher ISOs, so probably you ll never use them...built quality a little better than the average of the other bridge cameras (although I thing all of them feel cheap)...image quality is very good most of the times, the issues about image quality a lot of people refer, imho is about lost detail in full resolution due to overprossesing, but on the other hand helps a lot to reduce noise in low light... if you got a good compact and dont bother about high zoom this is not a big upgrade, if you are serious about photography go for a aps-c...if you just need a good all-arounder at that price this is the best you can buy..

Lucky you!!I thought they would do it easily but the agent I am stuck with didn't have a clue on what I am asking for and finally had to request escalation and then a manager agreed for the refund !!! it was just a chance I took luckily the camera was available for purchase else they could have denied me even the £7 consolation!!!
