I ordered mine from Dixons on Saturday night @ £256.79 using the HAPPY5 voucher so £226.79 (after cashback) wish I'd have waited now and save the rest! :-(
#5
got mine a couple of weeks back - nice camera, especially if like me you are used to using a compact, the difference in image quality is massive! Voted hot
#6
Bloody hell, if these prices keep on dropping at their current rate, Amazon will pay ME to take the Sony A200 off their hands.

Hot hot hot.

I have an old Minolta 28-135 AF zoom lens that I use with my Minolta 7000. Can someone please advise if it will fit the Sony A200?

Thanks

Yes it will. AF lenses will work with the Sony A range as the motor is inside the camera. I have an old 80-200 lens I use with mine.

The A200 will take any Minolta AF Lens. See http://www.dyxum.com for lots of info on the Sony mount system!

Nice one. Much appreciated.

Thanks spraint and mrpink :)

Voted HOT! Ordered one from Amazon.co.uk last time! Great Camera!
#13
does the price seem good it will it go lower like last time or shot up again?
#14
I'm not sure how much lower it can go. Much lower and it will be the same price as point and shoot cameras! I think they will want to keep SLRs in a higher price bracket.

I love my A200, this is a great deal.
#15
do i order it with a case/bag and memory card or wait as they might become cheaper?
#16
How does this compare to the Nikon D60 ?
#17
Can't get the 'HOTALPHA' code to work ?
#18
i tried the code but it does not work it says

We're sorry, but we didn't recognize the promotional claim code you entered. Perhaps you typed it incorrectly or you are trying to use a code that's not valid for the items in your Shopping Basket? (Some promotional claim codes can only be applied to items sold directly by Amazon.co.uk.)
#19
Code doesn't work. They just have lowered the VAT from the £264 it was last week. Still think you'll be able to get a digital SLR for less than £200 with the cashback offers before Xmas...fingers crossed.

Awesome camera, bought one the other week from the Play.com deal (£197 inc voucher and cashback) Even good at this price though.... Anyone know of any good sites for beginners, this is my first DSLR and am a bit lost with all the options, the auto settings work well but need to learn more to get better use out of it.

Yes :-) At this price the only alternative is the Nikon D40, which reviews say isn't as good.

This camera was on Amazon for £242 with the cash back for weeks until it shot up in price to £270 about a week ago. Price has slowly been coming back down since.

Don't know why this is voted hot, the code dosen't work and the camera is available elsewhere with the cashback for less.

Totally agree, Amazon are playing games with the price of this ! Don't get me wrong its pretty good value at £250.00 but I bought it a month back for £219.00 (Amazon) but sent it back for refund because of the cashback debacle, some people paid £219.00 - £30.00 CB ! Only Hot from me when this is offered at sub £220.00 before CB.

Code does work........I've just bought one!!!
