Great price.

I'm not fully clear on this yet, if you use Google Checkout will Quidco still be tracked? Also Empire Direct seem to have a £5 off £150 discount (in the Vouchers section), would Google Checkout mean this wouldn't be valid?

Have these DVD cams improved much? I tried some of the earlier models but non seemed to cope well with fast movements, either of the camera or action - the information couldn't be written to the disk fast enough and resulted in lots of distortion.
does this use a full size DVD or one of the smaller ones that you can only get about 20mins of video on?
quidco haev said that if u use google checkout it WONT count
A couple of weeks ago I was looking to get a camcorder and the comments I found (on the net) was that at the low end of the DVD price range (under £250) you were better off going for minidv format.

It so happens one of the mods has posted a good deal on a Sony miniDV camera for around £190 but you can claim a free bag and spare battery from Sony (worth about £50). As is the way of life this deal was posted a week after I got my camcorder :-(

It looks like it takes 8cm DVDs.

This is being sold for £471.79 here! But it does include "free delivery" ROFL!
This model is the older model and NOT included in the Free Battery and Case offer.

Full details of the offer are in the T&C:

FYI - the smaller singel sided discs will record 30 minutes (standard play) and the double sided discs will record an hour (30 mins each side).
Great tips in this thread. Sainsbury's are also doing a good deal on a Sony miniDV model for £150 (was £200 but reduced by £50), but it's in-store only.

Also it looks like the link for this deal is no longer valid, the last time I checked it earlier today there was only DVD Cam left. They may have sold out?
