Sony eReader Touch for £219 usually £249, which is currently the price in Waterstones.

Visited local branch of WHSmith today and they are out of stock, but I managed to get Currys.digital to price match.

Silver is showing out of stock on website, but black is in stock - but check local branches too.

I find this item pointless, when you can nearly download any ebook for free, and view on a laptop, netbook, internet tablet, psp and many other items we already have.
SO its cold for me,maybe if it was 20 quid it might be hot.

Surely the point of this site, isn't to rate what you find attractive, but how good the deal actually is on the specific item. For the price of this eReader its very good, compared to the RRP, just because you don't see the point of the item doesn't make it a bad deal. Plus saying you can download any eBook for free means you would be doing so illegally, and if we count those methods most of the DVDs, BluRays and CD offers on this site wouldn't be good enough for you either.

I was looking for one of these as a xmas gift, off to town to see if my local branch has any left.

Cheers!

I have to say I voted cold because one of the two options is out of stock on the website, it wasn't in stock at your local branch so you had to get another retailer to price-match and it's not really a very big discount anyway. A smallish discount only half available online and with dubious availability in-store can't really be a hot deal. Thanks for posting, but I thought you'd at least appreciate having a reason for a cold vote.
