=£110

6 months line rental = £120

Dunno. And exactly who gains from all this, apart from me?
I just can't see it coming off somehow, it's too complicated and dependant on too many conditions. And what about this 'friend referral' bit? how can you refer yourself?
And when you go to sign up online it says there '18 month contract' and you click to accept that. can't see anyone chancing this.
Sorry, but it's too much hassle, and cold from me I'm afarid.

SO ... wheres the profit- total line rental= £120 and cashback= £110

sorry im out!

you get 20 gbp accesories voucher , so that makes 10gbp profit
and if RAF works its furher more cashback
#6
I recon this is ok - I went for it.

Confident of the £50 credit however Quidco tracked at only £47.50 ??? and have yet to hear about my RAF (myself) I have phoned CS twice to confirm its six months (which they did) and I printed out both the screen shot and my online chat where they again confirmed it is for six months minimum.

I think this is hot. Even if i only get the £50+£47.50 that makes it a total of £22.50 for a phone plus 100mins and 1000txt pm.

If I get the £60 RAF even better:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Now does anyone know what is worth getting with the £20 accessory voucher ??
#7
Will quidco payout if you cancell the contract after 6 months ?

AFAIK Yes - but why not check their web site

Repeat

Now does anyone know what is worth getting with the £20 accessory voucher ??

The reason I ask is everything on the accessory page looks overpriced to begin with
#11
It does work, I have just rung up to confirm my order.

I went via Quidco, the Recommend a Friend has been applied (and is showing on their screens) and I have got them to confirm that the contract is for a minimum 6 month term. So all in all very happy. As my current three phone is close to dying :(

And I got the £20 Accessory Code :)

Thanks OP

Correct me if I am wrong,
Isn't the £50 a credit on your account and not cashback?
Does this mean that with the RAF you will end up with £80 credit and £20 worth of frankly overpriced accessories?
Can you get them to GIVE you this money or do you have to spend it with 3?

Contract £120
Less Quidco £47.50 - £60
Will actually pay £60 - £72.50 for

1000 texts
100 minutes
£20 worth of accessories
£50 - £80 credit on your phone (with RAF)
£30 credit on your friends phone

not quite 'free' but still a good deal.:)

Not saying you are wrong - but the £50 should go directly into your three acount - the accessories bit is a con - but if take the 50 quid off your 60-72.50 total it is only £10 to £22.50
#14
But is the £50 'locked' to your 3 account - can you actually get it back?
If not you are still £60 odd out of pocket.
#15
Before you get the contract be aware that the £50 credit back is to your account and NOT CASH in your banck account.

I have just phoned 3g to confirm.

FFS its not rocket science!!

120 - 50 added to your account - 47.50 = £22.50
#17
The £50 on your account is effectively a credit against the monthly cost. So you will get £50 off your bill which is as good as cash in my eyes :)

I make it:
6 x 20 = 120
-50 (Credit on Account)
-60 (Refer a Friend)
-47.50 (Quidco)
= £37.50 Profit Plus the £20 Accessory Voucher

No complaints here :) I also rang them up to check the order and ensure everything was as they had stated - and they confirmed to me that all the above would be applied (although obviously they couldnt comment on Quidco - tho it is showing in my account as tracked).

Gives me a nice phone to replace my current one. I made sure I have a PDF copy of the page displaying the £50 credit and 6 month minimum term. I was tempted to get the Z610 but my mate assured me it was too girly.
#18
sorry am confused how was you supposed to refer yourself to get the £60 off??

Correct!! Although the voucher aint worth 20 notes.

Can you advise me how I check my RAF went through ok? It took three (oh the irony) attempts before the number appeared to be accepted.

I am thinking i will have to wait till my bill comes?
#22
I think the problem with RAF is that when the three.co.uk form asks for your contact details is that the first box contact telephone number needs a landline number, otherwise you get errors.
#23
I can confirm RAF, you CAN get RAF for yourself, I have referrd myself 3 times so far on the same contract, I also got quidco as well.

Anyway this deal should be as follows:

£20 x 6 = £120 -£50 cashback - £60 quidco (thats what it says £60) - £60 RAF = £50 profit

Not a bad deal - £20 voucher is NOT worth £20. But i'd have it for free anyway.
#24
How do you refer yourself and get Quidco? Is there an option for referring when you place the order on-line?
#25
The 6 month deal isnt available on this tariff, its a error on the website, 6 month contract on certain phones are only mix & match 300 and 500, ask live chat before going ahead.
#26
As bryan has said this deal isn't available on this tariff, only on the £15 and £18 ones. You need to look out for this:-

[Meena] hello...
[Meena] are you planning to buy a new contract today?
[ent] yes
[Meena] which handset and price plan are you looking at?

[Meena]

This is a fantastic offer which allows you to take out an 18 month contract and we will allow you to cancel the contract after just 6 months if you wish. its on selected deals specified on the website.

[Meena] And also as you have come direct online to deal with us, if you order a mobile phone online today I can give you a promotional code for a free accessories voucher which is worth £20.

[Meena] would you like the promo code?

I think you are wrong - and its not expired - although I am wondering why you are so confident that you are right?

Umm, well me and emasu (and he knows his stuff!) are confident that this cannot be bought with the clearance tarriff as per their terms and conditions, here is my conversation with a three rep a few minutes ago:

[B839] Hi, does the six month opt out deal include the clearance deal (http://threestore.three.co.uk/clearance) as in I can cancel after 6 months, and get £50 cashback on the z610ir and k610ir?
[Mathew] Hello :)
[B839] Hi
[Mathew] Let me check that for you. Please give me a moment.
[B839] no problem, thanks
[Mathew] Its an error in the website, Its not a 6 months deal. Its an 18 months deal.. Thank you for bringing that to notice. We'll take necessary steps to correct the same.
[B839] Thanks, could you please provide a link to the terms and conditions of the 6 month opt out deal, as I cannot find it on the website.

Thanks for bringing this up Bryan - i will get on the phone to them first thing tomorrow. I took this deal out last week after checking by online chat that it could be cancelled after 6 months. I also phoned CS twice on the day the phone was delivered (before opening it) and asked them to confirm again that it could be cancelled after 6 months and was told it could - i took the names of all the CS staff including a supervisor based here in the UK - I will be pretty peeved if i have been lied to by their staff.

I hear what you say, but it does not specify what selected deals - the k610i offered is a refurbished clearance phone and therefore "selected" - but I was quite clear in my online chat what page i was refering to see below.

any way off to watch peep show - will post tomorrow after i have called three

I've got a screen grab as well. I haven't found teh CS of three anywhere near as bad as some of the other operators.
#35
OK - an update.

Just off the phone to CS - and muddyfox is right they are a lot better than my experience with O2.

Anyhow - CS told me i had to call up the web sales team on 0870 333 1829 - they advised me that the offer is a new one and that the web chat text box people are not up to speed yet - but it is most definately cancellable after 6 months - if you dont believe me phone them up and ask.

They even mentioned that they had a record of me being told the same thing (twice) last week  hehe.

I hope this helps people

Mods - you might want to unexpire this.

Thats the good thing that they record everything you have said, so they have a contact record for everytime you ring up - so if you do have a problem it can be dealt with efficiently, so it is easy to look back at past conversations etc.

See! I said right at the beginning that this was too much hassle!
