How easy is it to get the cashback?

phones4u make it pretty easy; I've successfully got £300 back on my current contact.

You have 60 days to make each claim, and they have a dedicated team ready to help with the "check-back" paperwork. I once almost missed a deadline, but called them and faxed them my bill, and they sorted it out there and then.

Just bare in mind if you miss one claim, you are penilised and can't claim again on that contract! :x

aphasiac - If we call them, would they tell us which is the correct bill to send? i.e which month.
they did tell me when i had a contract with them a few years ago.

Thanks

I wouldn't touch cashback deals with a bargepole. I took out a cashback deal in 2006 and everything went fine, got my money so I recommended the site to friends and family. My brother then took out 2 deals in 2007, my cousin took out one and I took out another one myself. My cousin lost his entitlement as they gave him some bull cr*p about being a few days over the time limit in sending back one of his bills, even though he insisted that was not the case. This company then went bust (we were scammed) and I lost £500, my brother nearly a grand.

There are very few companies that do mobile phone cashback deals without some sort of sinister intentions and the ones that are genuine, even they make it deliberately difficult so they don't have to pay you...... Be warned!!!

Which did a survey and less than %5 of people ever recieved any cash back and that is why the are leading a move to try and get cashback scams banned

From the people I know that have been with phones4u deals.....it has ended up in one big headache more so in the last year. letters being sent out giving absurd reasons as to why they wont be getting cashaback. Customer services being really vague with regards to cashback.

I see it as a hit miss chance of receiving the cashback.

Be Warned people!

Ive got 5 cashback deals all paid back 100%.
However, Phones4u are terrible. I wouldnt use them.
Stick to E2Save, CPW and OneStopPhoneShop..and be prepared to be very vigilant when doing these deals

I have had 2 cash back contracts and have had no problems. You get a letter stating when to send your monthly bill in, and you have within 60 days to do so.

I assume if you take out a cashback deal with CarPhoneWareHouse, you could go in-store and the team members will provide you with some information/help.

Yes they do.

Basically when you sign your contract you a recieve a claim form with a date on it, that you have send off on the given date with your latest bill (i.e. the bill you got that is closest to that date).

Then went they send the cheque out, they also send your next claim form. honestly it couldn't be easier.

Thanks, seems quite easy.

BTW do you know what the default pin is? Tried 4321 and 5555, no luck.
Also does the sim get activated automatically?
