just phoned up virgin and was told they have the sony ericsson c902 refurbished phone for £115.
good deal i think as nearly all of there refurbs are practically brand new.
i was told they have more than 10 available, so gets yours quick b4 they run out.
they also have other phones in stock but as i was on a tight schedule i couldn't find out which ones.
phone them on 0800 052 0837

Remember, these are reconditioned, but are just like brand new and still come with a 6 month warranty. Also, if you receive the phone and don't like it, Virgin will let you send it back to them for refund or exchange.

The prices above DO NOT include the delivery cost, which I think is about £5, but is next day, but if you ask nicely they will waive this.

hope this helps someone.

thanks mus

sorry for any mistakes

Just dealt with SE customer services absolutely useless, after 10 weeks they agreed to send me a replacement phone !

It will probably have a longer warranty tbh. SE phones have the mnufacturing date printed in them and it's a two year warranty based on that (obviously 2 years from purchase date if you have the receipt and bought it from a store). But chances are you will get a refurbished phone that isn't 18 months old so you will have a longer warranty.

your probably right but as i wasn't sure i thought i'd put 6 months as that is the minimum they will give

Are Virgin suddenly some sort of philanthropic concern now? What makes you "think" this?

Refurbs usually means it is someone else's broken gear, which has been taken in patched up and made to look tidy, so cosmetically people might think they are new, then palmed off on someone else, complete with the old worn out battery that might last years, or might barely boot the thing up! i.e. second-hand! It might well be an OK buy; but from where I am looking, it seems just the usual second-hand stuff on the face of it, and I am wondering what's so special - I'm puzzled about what makes you think Virgin is so different, and if they aren't the same as everyone else's "refurbs," where on earth have they got them from, in "practically new" condition?

I've bought virgin 'refurbs' before, they look 'new' and have worked as good as any other new phones i have bought

Of course they do, I have had refurbs too.... they put new screens/covers on them, so of course they LOOK new. I just replaced screen on my phone that I bust recently, IT looks new now too, but we all know they are broken ones that have been patched up, and Virgin are not likely to be any differnt to any other company in this! Not necessarily a problem, (at the right LOW price); but I am fascinated why THIS offer, and particulalry VIRGIN are selling this pile of refurbs that in some way is "different"and "practically" brand new, so the OP claims!

What is your problem mate? The guy just pointed out on a deal, which it is,have had several phones from virgin reconditioned, bought a prada almost a year ago refurbished, came completely like new one,all accessories and I only paid 90 for that one, which was bargain back than. Also other phones as well, great service,to bad that they have put a limit of only two in six months. Unlike idiots from orange, virgin ones are much cheaper and also come with all accesories

What's MY problem?

What's YOUR problem is of more relevance - Unless of course you can answer what I am asking?

The poster claims this is something special - the kit is supposed to be "practically new" well, it will be the first Virgin (or any other phone company) refurb that is - He, and clearly you too might THINK it is new, all it is likely to be is a new outer case with the same old repaired stuff inside, unless of course he really does know something about this batch - but seeing he hasn't told us what is so special to make them "practically new", I think we can all assume it is just the usual repaired broken returns the same as I have had from Virgin and others myself.! :-(

Good deal.... Bought dozens of refurbs from Virgin only had one that still had a volume problem...

Most of these are under the long distance / 14 day returns.... and are like brand new....

PS If it did have a dodgy mic or screen they dont sell it on that way lol The part id replaced before being sold on lol

In case someone else is wondering what this phone costs, when it is ACTUALLY new, including delivery:
http://www.prepaymania.co.uk/mobilephone/sony-ericsson-c902-vodafone-payg.html?base
it's £149.99 ie. just 30 quid more than a second-hand one.
This one also comes with a free Movon MF 380 Bluetooth headset!

It is on Vodaphone (ie. so it is ideal for using on Asda low cost PAYG!), but it may well be usable with a sim-shim for other networks, and of course will be guaranteed for TWELVE months, not six.

Only £30 more for new as opposed to the lottery of refurbishment is worth it, listen to what nihcaj is saying...
