i paid £20 for similar ones on eBay! Bargain!
#3
Any one know how long the cable is??
#4
Absolute Bargain !! Superb Sound !!!

I bought 2 last time they were this price at Play and they went like hot-cakes !!!
#5
Cable comes in 2 parts, a very short headphone part that hangs down to mid chest, and then a ~1m extension with the microphone on it.

I really like these earphones, i bought a 1m normal extension and just use them with my ipod, these must be the best value upgrade earphones for the ipod you can get. Cant beat £5 (+£2 for some extension lead) for pretty decent sound.

Nice one edi! Voted Hot!
#7
Got these a while ago pretty cheap from play (~£5 or less) great buy!
#8
Great price! Although for me i don't like the headphones so i use my ipod ones
#9
great quality for the price, and they're completely silent to anyone nearby while listening - I use these at my desk at work, and no-one ever complains about hearing my music!
#10
I searched on Ebay, find a lot of them for less than 4 POUNDS?
#11
Just bought these on seeing this post! Excellent bargain, thanks for bringing it to the board.
#12
I got them with my w800i. They delivery a very good quality of sound and I guess they also have the noise cancellation, as once I wear them I could hardly hear anything but the music.

no they don't have noise cancelling.
They are of Canalphones which means they slot into the ear canal. This type of headphone design isolate outside sound quite effectively.
#14
can anyone confirm if these come with the sony interface connector to connect to a sony ericsson mobile and are not the usual mini jack connector type. I can see the picture of the connector at the top but would like this confirmed by the OP before commiting. Voted hot.

They definitely do come with the propriety sony "Fast port system connector"
Which is the blocky rectangular thing. I am sure because play.com says it comes with high quality microphone, which cannot be done with a single 3.5mm jack. The headphone is separable with the mic and itself has a 3.5mm jack.

I don't actually like sony's connector design. They have poor mechanical fastener, hence don't stick to my W800i good enough. I have to use rubber band to hold the connector with the phone, otherwise audio drops.

There are some cheap ones on ebay but many are fakes.
#17
yes I don't like their connectors either. They seem tacky and you don't get a positive "click" when inserting the connector. Sort of wiggles about a bit giving you the impression it's not in and about to fall out.
#18
i keep getting them free with my w810i, i think they're terrible.
#19
Very nice deal but why can't phone maufactures use a standard connector (probably so they can screw us no doubt).
#20
I bought this last time it came up. Very pleased with fit and sound quality - would recommend.
#21
Can I use these with my NOKIA 5310?

Yes, you can, you will need to have a soldering iron to hand.

I got these with my w810i too, and they are good earphones if you are sat perfectly still, but if you move and the flex rubs on your neck or clothing the noise from that goes straight into your lughole.
I get the same problem with my Sennheiser CX300 earphones.

Just for the record, you can get an adapter for Sony Ericssons at Dealextreme.

Two types, the same one as this is here:
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.7099

And another type (for different phones) here:
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.7141

Both available for around $1.50 with free shipping. Work pretty well but I usually buy around 5 at a time, the cord can be pulled out or damaged which reduces the quality.

Good for the price though. Plus you get bulkrate discount for 3+, just type in BULKRATE. It adds $1.70 postage though, which for 5 works out at $6.35 saving a dollar.

Voted hot for these though, had these before and they're the only in-ear ones which fit in my ears without falling out.

Yeah you get that with a lot of these 'ear canal' type earphones so I have to guess it's something they find it difficult (or too expensive) to engineer out. That's why I use Sennheiser px100 - they are not trendy/cool looking but the sound is great as long as you don't mind that people close by will be able to hear it faintly. And top value also at £15 on play.com
#28
Are these different to the headphones supplied with SE phones ? I have a w890i so are these the same ? They are not bad but not the loudest.
#29
Not very good quality in my experience, after only a month of daily use the right earphone can barely be heard at max volume and left earphone has lost a lot of volume too, now I'm having to use cheap earbuds until I find the money for some decent IEMs =( Similar problems to the sennhesier cx300s, except it usually takes me about 3-6 months until those die on me
#30
the earbuds come with this SE doesnt fit in my ear perfectly so had to buy sennheiser cx-300 buds to use with this headphone, works like charm.

i have put sold my bose QC 3 and put QC2 on side and use this headphones. briiiiiliant

recommended.

Ok. Thanks for the useful feedback. :-D

Now, is there a deal for cheap soldering iron at hand? ::p

According to the Sony website http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/accessories/hpm-70?cc=gb&lc=en , these should come with three different sized sets of earbuds. Mine from Play.com didn't, and the ones that it came with don't fit. They also had no Sony Ericsson packaging or instructions or guarantee info.

Were everyone else's like this, or have I just been unlucky ?
#33
Just got mine too and there's no earbuds with them at all, just getting an RMA number now :(
#34
Just got mine as well - one pair of earbuds that look as if they have been worn...
Also sold on Amazon for £2.99
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-Ericsson-Portable-Handsfree-HPM-70/dp/B000BPR2SW
#35
Hmmm. Mine were delivered today and the earbuds look dusty, not sure if I would say worn but don't look like they've come straight from factory. I've bought these in the past and they usually come with 2 different sized pairs of spare buds and these didn't. Not sure if I can be bothered to return them as they sound fine
#36
Where can you get an adaptor to make these more easy to use with my iPod because they're well short to use without an adaptor.
#37
I got mine from here last time and they are PERFECT. They came with three different sized earbuds, and the other accessories (but no packaging/warranty info as they buy them in bulk i think).

I would recommend this product to any SE phone owner - fantastic sound quality at an unbeatable price!
