Now a clearance phone, but comes with £10 credit and once you register the sim online you get a further £2 so £12 credit. Thanks for the members doogan9 and shcizoboy pointing out there is NO QUIDCO on this phone.

Good basic phone for emergencies as you ahve the credit, and possibly a irst phone for kids as it's cheap to replace :)

You probably won't get Quidco - mine was declined for the same phone.

...but then if you meander into the Carphone warehouse ... and give them your "OLD phone ''

(the one that does not keep the charge any longer ) .... :x

it will be put to good use ..

CPW gives you £ 10 for it !

Better > QUIDCO .! :whistling: ... and instant gratification.!

Dont forget to register sim on virgin website for £2 extra credit !

As far as I can remember.. All carphone warehouse phones are unlocked.

Someone else can confirm/deny this though.

This Is Locked To Virgin

IT WILL BE NICE IF WE CAN GET THIS UNLOCKED!!!

The reason you don't get quidco on this phone is...

From the 8th April Carphone Warehouse will not pay cashback on Pre-Pay Sony Ericsson J110i

Checka de specka...

I brought this phone for my dad when it was on here back in Feb, at this price. I also got £5 back via quidco :whistling:

Make sure you double check your delivery note to make sure that the sim card they have put in your box is the same number as allocated to you on the invoice - mine wasn't and I only realised when I chased the £10 credit as it hadn't appeared on my phone by Easter! CPW sorted it all out for me - but I had to go into one of their stores to get the credit put on the phone.

Nice little phone, ideal as a back up or for use by the older generation!! :w00t:

Has anyone been able to unlock this phone?

I have it, and would like to use it on Orange for the 2 4 1 film deal.

im still chasing up my credit, they are giving me the run around telling me call back in 10 days time, 10 days come and go and still no credit and then call back again. more money has been wasted on the phone calls !!!!! it appears to be a scam, regret this purchase bigtime, im getting tired of calling them myself
the phone itself is very very basic, not user friendly at all.

Strange, when I got the 1200 from phones4u the sim was already with £10 credit which i added to my VM account and transferred over to another sim on there without problem.

Strictly speaking if CPW do not give you the £10 credit they owe you a refund and you can demand one, just quote them them the transaction number onthe CPW receipt, or alternatively email:

[email protected]">[email protected] and [email protected]">[email protected]

with details of exactly what happened in order etc and you should be sorted, I've used that dunstone address before with CPW and they've sorted me, on a PAYG credit I was emailed a special voucher code giving me £10 credit on any network from any CPW store...

I bought this phone from the same offer as the two other posters back in February. My £10 top up got cocked up but I had a positive outcome.

Paid £13 for the phone + top up.
Got £5 Quidco.

Phone came with a sim card that had no credit on. Rang CPW on the 0800 number who aurthorised £10 to be put onto the sim card. Weeks later the credit still didn't go onto the sim card that's when I heard other people saying that the phone number on of the sim sometimes didn't match the phone number on the invoice but I've since lost my invoice so wasn't sure whether mine matched or not.

Rang CPW again and they agreed to post me a £10 cheque to reimburse the failed top up. I also asked them what phone number they had on their screen for my order and low and behold it didn't match the sim card. I made a note of the number and later registered it on the Virgin site.

Turns out that sim card had £20 on it as the £10 top up must have gone on twice.

So after an initial outlay of £13 and much messing around I found myself with.

1 x New phone (with a battery and charger that can used for spare parts on my W810i)
£5 Quidco
£20 top up credit
2 x £2 for registering two sim cards on Virgin site
and £10 cheque through the post

So all in all I spent £13 and ended up with a new phone and £39 in return! Happy Days!

mine came with the credit on it, my quidco is still processing but other than that no problems, the phone is basic but my 7 year old son loves it for his first phone, i have no worries about it breaking or getting lost because the phone has paid for its self.

I just gave mine to my mum. I've got a 5 year old son but think he's still a bit too young for it yet! She's a technophobe I bought her one at Xmas 3/4 years ago and she never used it and don't think she'll use this one either but as you say it more than paid for itself plus and now there's always a spare charger lying around the house for my normal phone aswell.

I bought one of these phones from CPW about 6 weeks ago, and I'm still trying to get the £10 credit I paid for.
Despite several e-mails CarPhone Warehouse are still ignoring me.

I got one of these a month or so ago, when first at £12.99. The £10 credit should arrive within 10 days, but nothing happened. I rang CPW and they said they would request it manually. I know several people were having problems getting the top-up, and reported that after chasing CPW the top-up was eventually coming through twice, or even three times.
Then I noticed that the phone number on the Simcard was different to that on CPW's invoice. Rang CPW again with this info - apparently Virgin had screwed up, sent out a batch of incorrectly recorded sims. CPW's CS said to take it into any CPW store for replacement. I said NO! They said, OK, post it back to us - I said NO!. Firmly, but not unpleasantly - it's CPW's error and CPW's responsibility to put it right without additional cost, time or inconvenience for me. CS lady kind of agreed and went to consult with superviser. Came back and said "We're sending you out a new pack tonight, phone & sim, please keep the phone you have as a token of goodwill". It arrived by SD next day, and top-up arrived a few days later. So that was two phones, two sims, £2 + £2 + £10 airtime for £12.95

Plus I did get £5 rebate (not quidco!) and CPW do still offer (but don't advertise it now!) a fixed £10 trade-in for any working phone against payg purchases. ( £5 phone + £2.50 charger + £2.50 manual) (It's double those figures for a contract phone btw). So I calculate I'll even be a couple of quid up on the deal, with 2 phones & £14 airtime free. :-D

BTW don't call CPW on their 0870 number.... call their sales line 0800, explain the problem and they will transfer you to CS

I got one of these a few weeks back and had to get the topup refunded by check, I then also got the free virgin sim with £5 frre topup with the £5 quidco I got a free phone with free topup? Cool!
#26
Seem to be out of stock now.
#27
This phone seems so much more bloody bother than it's worth lol
#28
Looks like it's back in stock now - though slightly dearer at £14.95 delivered.

Still a good price though so ordered one to replace an older phone ;-)
