Would be good if the top-up was included in price :) Oh I miss the tesco deal from last year where they sold nokia 2610 for £13 and the £5 off coucher worked too + free delivery + £10 top-up voucher + quidco. :D

Many thanks, the deal on Virgin sounds great if the 250 free texts for 4 months is true. I've ordered one for my disorganised son :-)

So its £14.88 delivered - not £4.88....

I know you guys probably dont expect much from a £5 phone but i thought i should warn you.......... this phone is uber-basic and the buttons are awful. I paid £8 for mine at ASDA as a backup phone and i still feel robbed! :-(

LOL!!! Its good to know others are like me too!!! I feel robbed on paying anything, even a £ if I am even slightly unhappy with the product. Still ordered it.

I too bought this phone and it works, but that is the only positive thing about it. I'm not a young fashionista, who has to have the latest thing, but I do wish I'd spent even £10 more, for a different phone. Still a good deal for the very cash strapped.

If you don't like the phone use quidco (4.50) and send it to cashinmyphone(for £5.05) thats £9.55 back for the phone.

Got the last deal on this @ £5 + £10

Battery life is rubbish - lasts a week tops, compared with my old SE 750i that goes 2 weeks minimum.

Basic features are fine, tho I miss bluetooth. Major plus is the mini USB charger and the mini jack headphones.

Can you play mp3s from this phone? If so what memory does it have?

Yes Irish, no free texts either.

I left it a few days to see if it would be credited in time but alas no. My quidco never tracked either.

I was very plesed with the speed it arrived but now I'm not too sure.

Irish, I read the help section from e2save.com. It seems you have you register your phone by phoning 789. Unfortunately the call costs 10p and my son has used his free £1. I've joined virginmobile online and done it from there. According to e2save this will take up to 72 hours for the credit to be acknowledged.

I'll update if I find anything else. If you or anyone else has success, could they post their findings?

From helpdesk:

How long does it take for me to get my airtime credit?
If your airtime credit does not show on your sim card automatically, register your sim card with your network and allow 72 hours for this to be applied.
#22
Cheers my friend for telling me that, and now my little 2 yr old monster has used up the £1 credit it came with phoning some of his imaginary friends...., It is a bit UNDERHANDED though when you get 'BUMPED BY £9',

Cheers Buddy,
Declan

£10 has been credited this morning (within 24 hours)

Hopefully my quidco will track as well.
#24
Shame there service is rubbish.
Bank refused to pay them as they withdraw a £1 before transaction and looks like fraud,
E2 charged me £5.99 to send me emails!?!?!
Then they sent orange /not virgin
AND CHARGED ME £14.85 NOT £14,84?!?!?
They now want £10 to send me a recording of myself agreeing to there charges! NON-REFUNDABLE
Do I just take this? :!:
#25
My son got his text allowance. 250 cross network per month for the next 4 months, this has turned into quite a bargain.

My only downside is my quidco never tracked, I'll have to chase that up.
#26
I got the phone on orange and there was/is no £10 airtime - I will try registering it.

Otherwise pretty fast! They also charged me 1p extra cheeky ******s.
#27
How do you register an orange sim???
#28
My quidco is now tracking :-)

I'm pretty pleased with this buy, I'll not need to top the phone up for 4 months and the battery lasts ages.

Sorry Alex, can't help you.

the torch function cracks me up.. the screen turns white...
