One of the best camera phones on the market, a bit old now but still a cracking 3G phone and still one of a very select few phones with a xenon flash and 3.2mp camera. At the price, brand new, this is a stonking price, and the code works fine as I received my phone today after ordering 2 days ago. Well chuffed! Vodafone branded.
The code is for new customers only.

Have tried a few more expensive phones ie K850i,but I keep returning to my trusty K800i.It might be getting on a bit ,but I still like it.

Although this phone officially supports memory cards up to 2Gb, I and many others use a 4GB card. It might support more, but I'm not sure as 8GB M2 memory cards are still a bit expensive at the moment, and I wouldn't buy one unless I was sure it would work.

p.s.- it's an excellent phone indeed.

The K800 has a bigger viewable screen area and better flash/camera. K770 however is lighter and thinner than the K800

I can't see any obvious difference

Aah, thanks

The K770 being lighter and thinner actually goes further against it for me, I drop mobiles a bit too often!

I probably should have gone for the K800 then, wonder if I can exchange it?

I don't know if Additions still do it, but when you use vouchers they first take out the full amount, and then refund the discount a few days later. Just a forewarning incase someone might be on the verge of an overdraft :)

Payment went out today and refund was issued immediately, today. But yes, it is a same day refund deal.
I was charged 71.48, then refunded 30.00

additions, littlewoods, littlewoods direct are they all the same company?

#18

I have this phone but one thing really bugs the **** out of me. When pressing the back button it randomley tries to connect to the web which has resulted in quite a lot of wasted money. Not sure if O2 has reprogrammed it to do this but I think I heard someone else complain about this as well. Also it is quite chunky in pocket but nice camera and overall a decent phone.

Problem Child
how easy is it to unlock?

Apparently phone companies have to unlock your phone on request as it is against EU law to lock down phones. Girlfriend did it on Vodaphone (Nokia N95) but you have to ring them and request it.

very good deal these phones are built so well if they still sold w810i i would buy one without a doubt. my current w810i has been through the wars and refuses to break. The camera went dodgy for a while but some how fixed itself haha.

Yup, tried loads and it's still the best. Excellent screen, top camera with excellent auto focus, decent macro zoom and the all important xenon flash not led toot (like lighting a room with a lighter they are). It's also a pretty decent size, although a touch chunky by today's standards (see Nokia 5310 xpressmusic, etc). Even the mp3 player is perfectly serviceable with the supplied phones (however you can grab an SE Walkman phone set for buttons on ebay for an even better sound), unlike the LG Cookie which can only play albums in alphabetical order, not track order for some bizzarely unfathomable reason...

You could do a whole lot worse buying this for a going out phone - great camera for indoors at clubs & pubs and at 40 sheets it's not the end of the world if you get so bladdered you lose it (unless you have some blueys of the missus on it)!!

This is a good deal & glad you had a good experience OP - they just moved my order delivery (OH pressie, hence not saying what on here) - from 19/12 delivery to 06/01 delivery! Don't rely on them to deliver before Christmas (regardless of what they say before/when you order).

As for unlocking this, you should be able to get it unlocked & debranded (some phones can run something like 17% faster without the operator specific rubbish) for around £15-20 inc postage both ways via eBay.

On the 8Gb card, I've had mine running with one for a year, but the free space stays at 4095Mb - I reckon it can use the full card, just can't detail the free space. There seems to be a slight lag introduced when you use a large card (slow to boot, slower navigation, etc.).

Hmmm, not cool. Website says "in stock". As long as you get it, it's still a good deal I guess.
Yeah, I ordered 4pm Weds, recieved it at 3pm today. 2 day turnaround beats Play and Amazon lol I heard so many good things about the k800i that I just had to get one. I love the shape and size. It feels more substantial than the k770i, plus you are very unlikely to drop it due to the shape of the back cover. Very pleased with my first Additions purchase
The 3G seems faster than the k770i too.

Best phone I've ever had. Excellent camera and super durable. Mines been dropped so many times, even thrown ( Drunken olympics ) and still works perfectly. The only downside is that is has that flimsy Ericsson joystick on it, which occasionally stops working fully, but thats only happened a couple of times, and its rectified itself somehow. Bargain at that price!
#26
I got this when it was £55 back in the summer, great phone, built very solidly.

Can anyone who has received theirs from AdditionsDirect can confirm it arrived locked to Vodafone or if it arrived unlocked.

I was lucky as I had older version so could unlock it at home, otherwise expect to pay £5-£10 to unlock it.

I'm not sure there is a better value phone under £90 in existence so don't hesitate to get this!

Also with this £30 code there's the SE W890i on Orange for £110 before 8% quidco so £101.20.
#27
opened account they took all my details then they would not honour the code to take off the 30 pound off the phone also no email just premium call time phone number to contact them
#28
Topcashback offer 9% and you could also put a Asda sim in for really cheap calls without unlocking.

I ordered the W810i through Hotukdeals via Additions Direct about a year ago and all the offers and discounts worked for me.

Theres never been any proof of this - but Vodaphone will still unlock *some* phones.

As it is they aren't hard to unlock (just flash to a generic K810i, get more features, faster performance and it's unlocked :P)

This is a great phone. I used mine which I got for £70 in November! I still like it generally, it works well and the camera is generally good. I am hoping to get an N95-1 soon though!

As mentioned earlier, if it comes locked to a network, give them call and say you want it unlocked. I did it in the summer and it's no longer locked to the Vodafone network. I now use ASDA, who share the Vodafone network, but at a fraction of the cost.

This is the best phone I've ever had. I got the K850i and within a month I went back to this.
The camera is great.
