The new Sony Ericsson K810i cybershot phone on a 12 months free line rental contact. This is just a 12 month contract aswell, so is totally free providing you send off your bills and vouchers correctly. Also it will end in a profit using quidco, for an extra £30.

The Sony Ericsson K810i is an impressive 3G cameraphone and the successor to the K800i Cyber shot phone. It has a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, xenon flash and video record. It has a second VGA camera mounted on the front, which can be used for making face to face video calls. As with most top-end Sony Ericssons, the K810i has TrackID music recognition software that allows the K810i to recognise any music being played and download full details within a few seconds.

This is on Vodafone network, with 500 anytime minutes and 250 texts.

Some dubious reviews about Phoneboxdirect on other websites. Any personal experience on here?

Looks a good deal, any more opinions?

The Nokia 6290 was posted before, much better deal IMO, that's if you trust the retailer.

I personally would but only because I would stick to the t&c's and be prepared to take them to court. If you're not then this isn't for you.

You think the nokia 6290 is better than the k810i????

im with phonebox direct. you have to read the months very carefully. they also seem to be quite slow with paying. there is however a customer care line which you can ring and they are always helpful. i have successfully got 2 of the 5 payments thus far, awaiting my third

op links to w810i though.

Is this offer for the new model (as posted by Predikues)?
The only reason I ask is that the old model is pictured on the phoneboxdirect website :?

Also, note that you CANT port to Vodafone with them. This means if you want to keep your number this deal is not for you.

Good find though - pity they don't support porting to Vodafone or I would def do it!

Doesn't look like this is available with a k810i, you can have a k800i or a w810i or w850i.

EDIT - My apologies, looks like it is. Would rather have the 6290 but that's just my opinion.

Spotted this deal earlier but did not posted it because....

These are the worst (best for a retailer) terms I have ever seen.
http://www.phoneboxdirect.co.uk/terms.htm

Where a valid claim has not been received by us within 21 days of the required bill, which is the closing date for your claim. You will not be entitled to any part of the Cash Back offered. Cash back files are closed and cannot be reopened in these cases.

So if you miss just one claim in tight slot of 21 days (including bill delivery time and claim delivery time) you miss ALL

Tariff Change
If you change the tariff you selected on your Mobile Media Systems Deal within 180 days of your initial bill, we will invoice you with the minimum sum of £100 plus VAT per handset. All cash back claims become null and void if your tariff is changed within the contract period.

Not that you will change your tariff but if there is a slight change in tariff, even by network (like it happened in past when people added stop the clock or other add ons).
Also if you ask them to change tariff in 12th month after receiving bill they can apply this term and claim back money paid to you. It did happen to somebody else who posted it in another forum.

Disconnection
If you disconnect for any reason within 180 days of the initial bill, Mobile Media Systems will invoice you the minimum sum of £200 plus VAT per handset. The actual charge invoiced, will be calculated on the basis of the tariff selected at the time of disconnection.

Say you are going abroad for good and its not just rest of contract amount you pay to network to cancel contract, you also pay £200+ with no upper limit....

Administration charges
Due to the number of early claims, duplicate claims, incomplete claims and multiple claims, we will charge you £10 for each case encountered.

So if they dont acknowledge early in 21 days frame and you send another to make sure and end up paying £10. Or you forgot something and wanted to send again and get £10 charge.

Please return only one claim per envelope as we shred everything else we receive.

I dont understand why? Cause their staff is only paid to process one at a time...?????

Those are the same t&c's for the e2save pricematch offers. They're not that bad really. Most places only allow 30 days for a claim so 21 days is ok as long as you plan it. You can't claim early if you send the correct bill, by claiming early they actually mean by sending the wrong bill. I got this in writing from them. Very unlikely that you'll need to cancel the contract or change tariff. I know it then restricts you but it's your choice.

They want you to send bills seperately, it makes it cost us a little more but it means that each account has it's own special delivery number so will help you out should you need to go to court. Imagine using the same special delivery number in 2 cases, they'd say you have already used that number!

Noooooooooo its not. Its 12 month free line rental on an 18 month contract with vodafone. Beware. Also T-mobile changed their flext tarrif, PBD haven't updated their website. Also their terms arnt legally binding as it only applies for cashbacks between £201 to £600, there are some cashbacks which are £600+ and there is nothing in the terms.

I would change the title to expired.

So it is! SUPER DEAL!!!

On further looking, there are quite a few £630 contracts.

I haven't looked at the t's & c's, but would expect cylclotonic's claim to be correct.

Here is some of terms which I quoted

£201 to £600 claims

Instalment 1: - Send us the claim form and original monthly bill showing your name, address, mobile number and tariff you are connected on, that arrives showing you have been connected for 4 months. i.e. if you were connected on the 1st of January, you need to send in the bill that is dated around the 1st of May. This is 120 days (4 months) after connection. We also require the original despatch note that arrived with your handset. If you brought your number from another network, please see porting below.

Instalment 2: - Send us the claim form and original monthly bill showing your name, address, mobile number and tariff you are connected on, dated 180 days (6 months) after connection.

Instalment 3: - Send us the claim form and original monthly bill showing your name, address, mobile number and tariff you are connected on, dated 240 days (8 months) after connection.

Instalment 4: - Send us the claim form and original monthly bill showing your name, address, mobile number and tariff you are connected on, dated 300 days (10 months) after connection.

Instalment 5: - Send us the claim form and original monthly bill showing your name, address, mobile number and tariff you are connected on, dated 360 days (12 months) after connection.

Porting (keeping your old number)
When making the first instalment claim at 120 days, with a PORTED number, we need in addition to the standard requirements above, a copy of the first bill showing the original number we supplied to you.

Note the above ONLY applies for cashback between £201 to £600. What are the procedures for cashbacks over £600? I'd be very careful.

Same here :-(

Me too.
I knew there had to be some reason why they were taking so long over my claim.
I hope i can reduce my line rental now...never use anywhere near 500 mins a month.
#30
I've had a cashback deal before, nothing but hassle, cold im afraid
#31
I can't seem to find the phone on the 12 month deal. But then I haven't got my glasses on. I have become very wary of these cashback deals as so many seem to go wrong; I don't want to get hammered by a large tariff that I wouldn't normally have chosen.

this Is A Dead Expired Thread.

they Are In Liquidation
