* Camera stabiliser function

* Two-way video calling compatible

* 3G internet browsing

* High-resolution 256K colour display

* Multimedia player (MP3, AAC & MPEG4)

Sony Eric. K810i Ivory Specification

On O2 and normally O2 phones are unlocked but not 100% sure so don't buy expecting it to be unlocked. Will find out when they deliver it but if this is unlocked, it's an absolute bargain at this price.

this is a clearance model I assume?

That seems very cheap, it is the price of the K800i - I think they may have messed up.
#3

Unlocked?

not sure if it is, but you would have to take it to a local shop/market stall to get it unlocked

I've got a SE 800i - I've not found anyone who was able to unlock it.

probably because its a cid52 (high security) one like the k810i

afaik DVT can unlock these for 50 euros
#10
Forgot to mention that it's on O2 and from past experiences, O2 phones are normally unlocked but don't quote me on that.

Why to pay €50 if network normally charges £15-20 to unlock it? :?
#12
ordered one from onestopphoneshop + quidco 5 pound... see what's happen on Tuesday.
#13
As I've found out - CID52 phones are a bar-stood to unlock! The cheapest option more then likely is to phone up the operator and get it unlocked (Voda, T-Mobile, Orange, etc).

Very nice price though, the only thing bad about the phone is the joystick.
#14
O2 will unlock their phones after 12 months for £15. My K800i was locked so this one might be too :(

looking 2 buy this.. do u suggest it would be a wise investment to buy and sell on ebay?

This isn't really what this forum is all about... :-(

nonetheless, personally i d say this isnt really worth the hassle for ebay. Looking at the completed listing, you ll make a few quid but you run the risk of dealing on ebay, the hassle and the large amount of fees.

If your selling on ebay do your own risk assessment

Buy 100 and see what happens. :-D

Selling phones on Ebay is a minefield...you gets tons of idiots for some reason that buy your phone with NO intentions of paying and you end up forking out for the lisitng fees knowing that some idiot isnt going to bother paying you!! - so no, not worth the haslse AT ALL

Phones from Carphone Warehouse are generally unlocked (on o2 at least). I believe that Carphone warehouse is the parent company so that should be the case.

The chances of this phone being locked is 99.9%. All PAYG phones are locked only O2 contract phones are unlocked.

This is normally the case but not with Carphone warehouse PAYG phones as they take them from pool stock, e2save is a Carphone Warehouse company so it's a high probability that their phones may well usually come unlocked too, this was bourne out by the PAYG phone I bought this week from e2save this week that was delivered unlocked.

So in my opinion the chances are above average it may well be unlocked. But as the OP says you wont know for sure till it arrives ;)

If it is locked to 02 will a tesco sim work as they use the 02 network?

it should, but i cant make a guarantee that it will.

it all depends if its locked on more that 1 lock (my tmobile k810i has 1 lock on ESL. it works with a virgin sim)
#24
Just thought I would jump in here and mention that I had an 02 phone (nokia not sure of the model) on 02 and it was locked. NOT saying that this one is because I don't know.

I am just saying that it maybe locked...
#25
I have bought one of these, cos of the price. It will 99% be locked. Last SE i got from CPW was locked.

o2 Contract are unbranded and unlocked, PAYG is different.

Good deal tho!
#26
Seemingly no quidco on this! Boo - only for contract phones :-(

Wondering why they need to know 'residential status' on a PAYG phone?!
#27
Cracking phone, I bought this model a few months ago. I picked it up for £139.99 (when I had to top up by £30 at the same time) on Orange.

Thats a very good price. Under £100 with £10 credit on the phone.

02 phones are unlocked after you've topped up and used your phone from what I can remember. E.g. you have to register the sim, top up and use it then its unlocked. But don't quote me on that though, ask in a shop like I did.

This 100% incorrect, o2 are owned by Telefónica.

i think they meant CPW is a parent company of e2save

Now call me thick if you like :roll: but I have an o2 phone on contract which is rubbish(the phone). If I buy this phone will I be able to put the contract sim card in it that I have? Not sure if I have to use the sim card which comes with it that I have to top up £10 on!
Hope I make sense:?
#31
Yes you can use your contract sim in this phone.

Got this phone a couple of weeks ago for £74.99 with £10 credit from Car Phone Warehouse on T-Mobile PAYG.

Edit... It tracked on Quidco at £5.00

Whats the difference between this and the k800? I prefer the K800 buttons, but the K810 is a newer model, are the differences only cosmetic?

Mainly not only :thumbsup:

Iv'e ordered I hope it isunlocked as the O2 reception here is non existant,
The email they sent states "Your order is now being processed and subject to successful network acceptance" why would they say this on a PAYG phone?
