at least it will also work on virgin network.

cheap and marshall ward being part of littlewoods group will have some discount codes and quidco to reduce the price down to something more palettable.
#4
cex pay £117 cash for this so you could make a little on it espec. using quidco
#5

Ive got this phone, and it is absolutely SUPERB!

Phone functionaility is flawless (the way the menus etc work), the music player is really good (excellent sound quality) and the camera is pretty much perfect.

Buy, buy, buy!! ;-)
#9
is there a way of getting a cheap 'sim only' t mobile contract. i know e2save used to do a 12 months free o2 sim.
#10
brum

Are you sure?

I may have got this back-to-front, but I think that T-Mobile locked phones will not accept Virgin sim cards.

I believe that Virgin locked phones will accept T-Mobile ones though.
#11
thanks for the OP for this and the free delivery code worked a treat......shame the other codes didn't....hey ho
#12
can you unlock these mobile phones anywhere?
#13
Aww hubby wants one of these, but on o2 - he won't have the branding, lol! Fantastic price for a great phone - voted hot!
#14
anyone used this site before? they trust worthy
#15
You can easily get rid of the T-Mobile branding and restore the default menus and functionality by using www.wotanserver.com

This is the first thing I do with any phone I buy that has network branding.

Unlocking the latest Sony Ericsson phones is somewhat harder withing going through the network.

im very sure, infront of me now is the sony ericson w810i which is on the t mobile network, purchased from littlewoods.com using discount codes for just under £60 plus quidco.

it has my virgin sim card in there and i have transfered my old o2 number over to the virgin deal of £10 per month sim only for 300 minutes and 300 texts. so out went my old o2 contract of £30 for 200 minutes and 100 txt for a deal £20 per month cheaper and more of everything.

the only thing that anoys me is t mobile software on the phone ( walk and talk or some web thing?) and a little t mobile badge type thing although for the sake of saving as much as i did, i dont give a frig.
#18
what codes did you use brum? I can't say no to that price!

anyone?

im very sure

That may be misplaced - it is possible to lock a phone to one particular sim - it never used to be done, but Tesco are now (they are related to o2, but an o2 sim won't work in a tesco mobile 1112i I have).
#22
You can get this phone unlocked (see davinciteam.com) but it's not cheap, just a bit more convenient than going through t-mobile.

A "high street" (read cheaper) solution has already been developed, it's just a matter of a little time before it is released.

Cheers for this deal, I was looking at getting the £99 k800i from dixons, but the smaller size of the k810 is much more appealing.

I will need it unlocked for vodafone but if it cant be done already, it will possible soon enough!
#25
I'm thinking there must be a few codes out there somewhere for marshall ward!!!!

Anyway, free delivery plus 6% quidco make this phone about £95!!!

This offer is for the K810i

i know, the question asked was

will a t mobile telephone work with a virgin sim card.

the answer as ive already said is yes, i then gave an example of my own phone infront of me, which happens to be a sony eriscson w810i from t mobile with a virgin sim card working perfectly well inside it.

Aye, the k810i is just a bit thinner (-5mm) (still pretty thick though). The camera cover design seems much better as well
#32
None of the promotion codes work with this. I've tried all the ones I can find, including the ones from the w810i deal.

The camera cover is definately much improved on the K810. The K800's camera cover had a habit of opening up when the camera was in your pocket, causing an unnessary drain on the battery. With the K810, though, the camera lens cover is captive and cannot be accidentally opened up (as per photo). From what I've read the K810 is also far more responsive than the K800...

What I'd like to know is whether it's possible to 'flash' a K810i with new firmware to remove all the branding - ie. convert it into a generic K810i rather than T-Mobile's version of it...

any market stall or corner shop can do it for £5-10 now day's, you wont miss the signs!
#35
not worth it, trust me i have had it for over a year and got it replaced 4 times due to software problems, and this was bought unbranded from phones4u.

and as the polish sales man said it, "oh okay, no no that is normal, it happens to all phones, just take out battery for few minutes and it will work"

umm yea, it didn't.
