That's a birthday pressie sorted, thanks

are o2 phones sim free? would like to swap sim cards ideally
#3
Many of its features seem fairly pointless given it says it only has 10 meg of shared memory, and does not appear to take cards.
#4
The T series are no nonsense, I have had a T300 before and have a T650 just now and soon to get a T700, voted hot stylish functional phones.
#5
anyone know if this will be open network or not?

have heard car phone warehouse phones generally are and e2save appear to be a subsidiary.

help appreciated

You mean network latched? O2 Pre Pay phones are always network latched on to O2 network only but you can use O2 Post Pay Monthly Contract sims in them. Just make sure the GPRS/MMS/TXT settings are set for O2 Post Pay Monthly Contract sims if you intend to use O2 Post Pay Monthly Contract sim cards in O2 Pre Pay handsets.

I buy 02 "pay as you go" phones to use with my Virgin Media and Irish sim cards, no unlocking required. I cannot say that for the iPhone, locked up, but a i-smartsim 2008 sorts that out.

Just bought one - However

Sony Ericsson T280i Clearance - £7.95
O2 Talkalot £0.00 -
£10.00 Airtime Top-Up - £10.00
Total cost of your order - £17.95
so if I get the quidco - £7.00
the phone will be for 95p

So even better!!!!

Good basic phone. If only it had speaker phone. The specifications of the Sony Ericsson T280i handset;

[Edit] It does have speaker phone, just checked SE website. http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/products/mobilephones/overview/t280i

BEWARE, this is a Clearance Product & NOT brand new sealed!
Reconditioned/Clearance Product;
By using reconditioned/clearance stock, we are able to offer you even further savings on your monthly line rental! These items are either
ex-demonstration, trial or mail order returned. These are not flawed products although they may carry very minor cosmetic marks. For your peace
of mind, each and every handset has been quality inspected by our engineers & reconditioned if necessary. Each handset also comes with a full years
manufacturers warranty. Please note that reconditioned handsets are usually repackaged once tested and do not come in the original branded box. These
products are only packaged with a charger, other accessories and memory cards are not guaranteed.

T700 is already out on O2 network with special colour edition at the moment with black & silver coming out later very soon. If only the T700's screen was just a bit bigger than 2.0 inches of my SE K800i then I'll absolutely buy it but none the less is a very good phone. I'll go for the Shining Black model when it officially arrives in the UK but not guaranteed.

Can someone confirm if this can take a memory card? Thanks

Agreed. Either don't build in an MP3 player and camera, or if you must, give some decent storage capacity. 10mb will get you around 2-3 MP3s at most.
#14
Have they dropped the price again?
I've just clicked on the link and it quotes me £7.95 for the phone, £10 for the top up and also this;
[ ORDER NOW and your product will be delivered FREE before 5pm Wednesday ]

So a total of £17.95 before quidco, giving a potential deal of £10.95 if it tracks.
If like me, you are already on PAYG then this deal is only costing 95p as I'd be eventually topping up by a tenner anyway.

Hey Mustafa, you beat me to it! ;-)
#15
pity it doesn't have a sd slot etc.
Good deal all the same..

Quidco is not guaranteed unless you follow the correctly the T&C's so if the Quidco did not track properly, the most you pay for the handset would be £7.95 for a Reconditioned/Clearance handset. But if it did, yes 95p. Quite a bargain & free delivery too.

True story:

I lost my iPhone..Bought this phone as a replacement...My friend found my iPhone in their car..

I still use this phone.
#21
I use one of these. In fact, I sold my Samsung Omnia to replace it with one of these.

Indeed - no nonsense and straightforward. It texts, calls and does Bluetooth. Camera is dreadful (expected) and the screen is below average for modern phones. But I don't care one jot. The Bluetooth is miles better than the Omnia when used in my car with the Bluetooth connectivity, so that is enough for me (the Omnia wasn't quite crystal clear for the person on the other end of the phone, which is odd, as the Samsung U600 was perfect).

With Bluetooth on 24/7 with average calls and texting etc, the battery in mine lasts a good 6 days. Even longer if you turn Bluetooth off.

You can (could?) get this in the Orange shop for the same price - £26 + £10 top-up on a new SIM card.

If you went from an Iphone to this, you should never have had an Iphone in the first place.

That's unlocked though, so good if you can unlock them yourself, else you'd still need to spend around a fiver for the unlock.
#25
hey guys.
i just ordered this and just to let you know it isnt £23.94. i got the fone and £10 top-up for just £17.95!

good deal!
#26
thank you, ordered one so I can get rid of my pile of rubbish the Samsung G600.
#27
isnt it better to use topcashback with this purchase, it gives atleast £7 to £7.50. but it does say for prepay packages, would this quality does anyone know.
#28
I bought the phone and they have taken the money, then put through another payment for 1p, now MBNA have blocked my [email protected] card and the security department have gone home.

I was booking a weekend lads break as well.

Cheers E2Save (Carphone Warehouse)

17.95 - 7 quidco if it tracks. 12 back for the phone on mazuma and another 1.50 thru quidco for the mazuma transaction. plus what ever you get for the simcard on ebay...i'd say easily 5 quid profit.
#32
A1 condition

Phone comes in plane box with instructions , headset , battery and charger , plastic protection on screen , added my monthly O2 sim , works a treat

Well worth the money ,

If you aint ordered one I would recommend you do

Cheers

Anyone received one today ? I just checked the roder and its on back order. Still, theyve taken my money !:x
#34
Mine is on back order they just called me :(
#35
They rung me today and offered me the t303 at the same price so I just took it
#36
they rang my brother but they hadnt rung me so i rang up and acted clueless and near enuff instantly got offered the t303 so took it. skycard stopped my credit card just like someone elses earlier in this thread!oh well.. heat and thanks to OP!
#37
is the t303 better?
#38
What an absolute sham of a company. As always when it goes right its ok, but when you have a problem there true colours come out.

I didnt get offered any alternative, they couldnt tell me how long the back order would take, i asked to cancel, was told it was done then was told that it was only requested to be cancelled, id have to wait 2/3 days for it then I would get a cheque within 14 days !

When I asked for the complaints details, the operator had to get authorisation for me to make a complaint ! wtf ?
#39
Sorry this was on top of the extra payment taken and getting my CC blocked.
#40
i just had the call too, offered me a T303i so I took it (as it is pink) bl**dy Vodafone SIM card tho, wouldn't do o2, well you live and learn (in my case I never learn)
