Phone them and cancel.

Verdict

Though it's light with a good spring-loaded slide mechanism, the T303 is a fairly unsatisfactory mobile. It's small screen is below par, it's not very sophisticated in terms of features and in use the navigation and software is annoyingly slow. There are better entry-level options at this price.

would've considered this, but 8Mb is pointless...

An average phone at an average price by the looks of it.

1.3MP camera, bluetooth, metal casing and a pretty small phone for £30? What else could you want for that price? Adding a M2 slot would cost more money, as would increasing the internal memory, plus it'd increase the phones physical dimensions.

For £30 these are lovely little semi-basic phones, you want more features then you pay more for it.

I bought this phone a few months back, and all I had was hassle.
The phone did not work with my sim card, but as it was unlocked we couldn't find what was wrong.
Called O2, they said it must be an error with the phone. I could not receive and send msgs, and could not call, but when O2 sent me a test msg it came through?! Odd.
I took it back to CPW and they said it must be the sim. But as I didn't have another O2 phone, or unlocked phone I coudln't test it.
Thought about it, and took it home. Then while I was at my boyfriends we remebered his brother was on O2. We checked them SIM and it was fine.
Basically there was a hge bunch of phones that didn't work from there. So waste of 3 journeys to and from CPW. Waste of petrol, and my time. And all I got was my refund.
I won't buy from there again...

I would be prepared to pay more for more memory. 8mb is barely enough to store an mp3 and a couple of photos. I assume the lack of memory is the reason behind it lacking a video recording function too.

The standby time on his is twice that of any in this price bracket. This alone makes it worth it IMHO.

It is in no way an MP3 player, the facility is only there for ringtones. Likewise the camera, it's a nice add on.

It has good standy time because it has no good features to use up the battery!

Ok, anyone fancy actually putting this into perspective for a second?

It's £29.99, just under 30 flippin' quid. It's not going to be a great phone, it's going to be one that's good for calls and texts, taking the occasional photo, looking good, being small and thats about it.

If you want more, yes fine pay more, but don't be slagging this phone off, for £30 it does it's job perfectly.

In regards to CPW's after service, yes it's not great, but if it helps, O2 sell this in silver or pink for the same price (£29.99 + £10 top up) in store.

In regards to the "calling after the sales and selling insurance", why on earth would you insure this phone, it's £30!?

In regards to the person with the sim card based issue, based on everything you said, it's just a sim card fault, don't blame CPW nessecarily, just pop into an O2 shop, tell them you need a new sim card, explain why and hey presto, you'll get one for free.

Anybody else care to find a fault with a phone that's only a measly £30?

No.. the standby time on fully featured mobiles is usually half this too - turn on the advanced features and you have to keep them on the charger.
