IMPORTANT: Order as soon as poosible if you intend to go for this deal, as T-Mobile will be decreasing the allowance for FlexT 35 from £120 to £90 for new contracts as of Wednesday 15th August.

The Mobile Outlet have the Sony Ericsson W580i Walkman Phone on T-Mobile's "FlexT 35" tariff with 12 months free line rental on a 12 month contract, after cashback. So, for £0 (after cashback) you get the Sony Ericsson W580i (for FREE), 12 months free line rental (after which you may cancel) and £120 per month to spend on calls and texts. That's up to 600 cross network minutes or up to 1200 text messages each month. This £120 can be used on UK calls and text messages, MMS messages and voicemail calls. Unused airtime allowance does not roll over.

Marketed by Sony Ericsson as a lifestyle phone, the W580i is a new addition to the Walkman series with a sporty twist the slim line slider comes pre-loaded with Sony Ericssons Sports Applications software, allowing the user to measure their steps, calories, running speed, distance and time. With lifestyle and entertainment in mind, the phone also doubles as a portable photo album and pocket gaming device.

Not surprisingly for a phone from the Walkman family, the W580i can store plenty of audio files up to 470 full-length tracks. Ultra-cool optional extras include the ability to play music tracks stored on your phone directly through your hi-fi using the wireless Bluetooth MBR-100 Music Receiver, or snap-on speakers allowing you to pump out your favourite tracks at social gatherings. Features of note include, a 2 megapixel camera, FM radio with RDS, 3D gaming, picture blogging, video capture, high speed web browsing, and a large 2 inch screen. all packed into a slider phone measuing just 14mm thick.

You pay an initial £35 per month to T-Mobile. This offer works by cashback which you claim from The Mobile Outlet at specified intervals. If you wish you can purchase via QuidCo.com who will give you a whopping £30 in extra cashback, meaning that you'll make a PROFIT of £30 on the whole thing!! The mobile outlet charge a fee for the intital credit check. This is £1.99. Remember to cancel the insurance if you don't want it as it's quite expensive. As usual, send claims recorded/special delivery as soon as you get the bill and you'll be fine. I have personally received cashback from The Mobile Outlet without any trouble, and they have a special fast-track email address for HUKD members to use should they encounter any problems.

It's worth pointing out that The Mobile Outlet have removed the clause which states that if you miss a claim then you miss further claims from their cashback terms and conditions.

They're the first retailer to remove this from their T&Cs. They are, however, bringing back the claim vouchers. It's VERY important that if you do not receive these with the delivery of your phone that you contact them immediately as they won't send them out after 14 days.

Other than that, it's going to be a fairly safe ride on this one. :)

The W580i was supposed to end yesterday(Monday) so who knows whether it will be there much longer.
They have the W850i on the same tariff, this has been around for ages.

It'd be worth getting it before the end of the week. The Mobile Outlet have been known to spend a couple of days on the credit check and you need to contract from T-Mobile by next Tuesday!!

The idea is to do the research and then buy if you feel comfortable.

I am currently using them and they are tardy to put it mildly.

Read the thread on HUKD here

and the one on MSE here

Read the threads thoroughly to pre-empt most of the tricks they employ.

You WILL still be able to get the FlexT 35 plan AFTER 15th August with the full £180 credit a month as long as you take an 18 Month Contract.

The reductions apply to 12 Month contracts only.

The OP states FlexT 35 comes with £120 a month, it is actually £180

I've read over the terms n conditions and am confident i'll stay orgainsed enough. However i have one concern, it says i need to send ie a bill which proves i've stayed conected for 120 days, for the claim which is after 120 days of connection. I selected to be direct debited on the 1st of each month, when my connection date will be around the 8th/9th. Will this leave me around 7/8 days for each claim or will be bill date be determined by when i took my contract and not my date of DD. Its messes up i know , but can someone please clear it up for me? Thanks.

So what bills would that be. e.g, for my first claim I would send my 4th bill and the 1st claim voucher?

Thanks

I had a contract with TMO, they paid out for the 1st 6months worth of bills, but didn't for the 2nd. They cited not having received the bills. After this remark I sent officially-stamped photocopies of the original bills, photocopies of the letter etc etc (i.e. the whole envelope contents copied), and they weren't having any of it. Rang numerous times and they denied knowledge of the claim. Furthermore, in the (i) dispatch letter (ii) email T&Cs (iii) dispatch T&Cs all key dates referred to were incorrect. i.e. some letter referrring to sending bills back after 5 months, some saying send 1-6 after 6, some saying just send bill 6 after 6 months etc..

I kept hold of the contract however, and now get 500 mins, 100 text for ~£5/month, directly from three (no messing about with The Mobile Outfit).

I'm sure they must have improved from 1 year ago when I had my last dealings with them, but of all of the cashback-offering companies I'd steer well clear of these and go for deals with ones supported by The Carphone Warehouse who seem to be a lot more reliable, from reading other posts.
