Cashback info updated on 28 Apr 2007

If you went for a 12 months FREE line rental (12 month contract) deal on Vodafone network with CoolNewMobile please read this for successful cashback claims. I’m leaving this info for everyone’s benefit after answering a number of PMs on this topic. This is applicable only for Vodafone contracts via CoolNewMobile (such as Sony Ericsson W810i, Nokia 6630 etc).

Vodafone have dispatched the FIRST bill nearly after a month of the contract start date unlike other networks such O2, Orange etc where, the first bill is sent out within days of connection. As a result, the original bill you should send for each stage of the cashback claim is different. The scheme below is compiled based on the details provided by a HUKD member.

http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w302/bucketandbucket/vodacnm1.jpg

As seen above, the bill for First Claim is the 4th bill which shows 120 days of connection and so on. Make one like this, based on your Date of Connection and Date on your First bill, for successful cashback. All cashback applications must be submitted within 30 days from the corresponding bill date and by recorded delivery to:

MOBILE AFFILIATES LTD
Claims Dept.
PO Box 8895
Bingham
Nottingham, NG13 8XA

A copy of the claim form can be downloaded here.

Please post if you have any further queries. Good luck.

£35 Quidco cashback as in the title.

Sorry for the error ;-)

Voted hot, but must add that porting isn't allowed onto Vodafone. Am hoping this comes up on T-Mobile Flex 35. Fingers crossed!

Check this comment for help with cashback claims from CoolNewMobile.

Thanks Col, I did see that, but i'm slightly put off by their cashback terms and the problems others on HUKD have encountered i.e. missing claims etc. I've had good experience from CNM and Phonebox Direct before so i'd prefer going with them. Having said that, i know a lot of people that complain about cashback when it is usally their own fault, but there does seem to be a lot of negative comments about Mobile Outlet. Think i'll wait a while and see if the same deal comes up elsewhere.

Thanks nilesh :)

I'm a happy CoolNewMobile customer with 5/5 successful cashback claims. Mobile Outlet did have some problems which they blamed on an external order fulfillment company. They posted a comment here regarding this. Not sure if anything has improved since then. ;-)

Just checked Phonebox direct on Vodaphone handsets page and same deal is there.......I think.......

Let me know if you think this is a better deal with PhoneBox direct.

CoolNewMobile deal is better with £35 Quidco cashback whereas for Phonebox Direct, Quidco cashback is only £15.

CNM and PBD are owned by the same group.

I claimed cashback from The Mobile Outlet with no problems at all. I just followed the T&Cs step by step and the cheque arrived in the allocated time. They even emailed me to say that they'd received the claim (it didn't necessarily say it was valid, but at least I kne it had arrived).

Also, The Mobile Outlet have set up a special fast-track email address for HUKD users to use should anyone have problems.

Has anyone actually got the phone?

The cash back seems like a brilliant deal but how's the phone.

I have a w800i (a year old now) and uploading songs on the 512mb card using disk2phone is a nightmare. Songs go missing all the time. You be lucky if out of 10 songs 6 of them were imported sucessfully.

Brilliant phone... received mine few weeks ago from PhoneSpot

Yep, I'll tell you now, it's a truly great phone.

I have the K750i and the conclusion that I have come to is that Sony Ericsson is my favourite make of phone. I've found it reliable, user-friendly and the cameras and MP3 players on their phones are great.

also regarding the texts and minutes - can the texts and minutes be used to any network and can they be used any time of the day??

hope someone can answer these questions, im on about month 10 of my current contract, would like to get a new contract soon.

lol.... there is no need to panic with cashback. I'm almost certain that if you do your bit you 'will' receive cashback  I have had about 6 contracts in the last 3 years from various retailers including CoolNewMobile, CPW, e2save, OSPS & Chatterbox and havent missed even a single payment.

t/w ;-)
#24
T-Mobile or Vodafone ?
#25
just remember - if you miss one single claim - then you are stuffed for the rest of the contract.

I have my current contract with CNM and the have paid out ok up till now.

However I think that its pretty stict to state that if you miss one then all future claims are void.

Thats the trap :)

Most retailers (except CPW group & Chatterbox) have this set of rules. However, as you say, CNM are very good at paying cashback on time when a proper claim is submitted.

There doesnt appear to be any place to cancel the itemised billing on here or the insurance, just the option to cancel the first 3 mths or free insurance, can anyone help?
#28
Itemised billng you should be able to do with the network, the insurance should be via a paper that came with the phone with the insurance house details.
#29
thanks for replying schizo boy, im trying to order but it says itemised billing £1.50. which i dont want, but there doesnt appear to be anywhere to cancel it, ive ticked no to the free insurance, will i need to do anything when i receive the phone to prevent myself from ever having to pay for insurance?
#30
ordered and voted hot, great deal, thanks edi

Saw this last week, brother ordered it, good job we checked CNM as we were about to buy it on PBD but then saw the extra cashback! :D

does anyone know the reason it can't port into voda? is this shop specfic or voda in general.

i know that porting into o2 can only be done within the first 30day of connection, don't have experience with voda.
#33
edi just to point out; good deal but-

-sending items by sd/rd do not cover consequential losses i.e. your cashback letters
-they have imposed some of the strictest rules about. So although they may pay-up, one small mistake for someone with a busy lifestyle and they may lose out in a big way.
-if CNM being an affiliate cease trading, the parent company will not be liable.

Thats always the risk with cashback sites... If they go down the drain, there is no one to claim the cashback from :)
#35
I would point out that Cool New Mobile and Phonebox Direct are affiliates of Caudwell Communications who own Phones 4 U and have recently been purchased by Pipex the broadband internet supplier. So whilst, yes, there is a risk that if they go under, you won't get your cashback, i would be very surprised if this were to happen in this case bearing in mind their history. Secondly, why they don't allow porting on to Vodafone, is a little strange, as this is usally a network-network issue e.g. between Orange and Vodafone. There is rarely any involvement of the retailer, although having not ported to Vodafone myself, i can't vouch for them. Would be good if anyone has asked CNM about this, they could let us know on here. And, at the risk of repeating edi's and others comments, there is no such thing as a free lunch. Those expecting to get a totally free phone, with no line rental with minimal effort, are being unrealistic, i think. If you want less hassle, Carphone Warehouse would be a better place to go, but don't expect to get such a great deal.

Thanks nileshpandya17 :)

Totally free phone + 12 months Free contract (+ Quidco profit) is very realistic "as long as" the correct claims are submitted on time and by recorded delivery

Claims should be received within 30days (from the bill date) which should include

1. Correct 'original' bill
2. Completed Claim form (Get a claim form here)
3. Covering letter (preferable)
#37
Yes i probably should've added that thanks to the advice from ducky and edi, amongst others, on this site, there really isn't too much to worry about in making claims, so absolutely i agree it is very realistic... if you're organised.
#38
I ordered this phone last night but should I cancel the itemised billing when I receive it as in the terms and conditions it says:

'We therefore recommend that you pay your bills on time and do not cancel or take a summary itemised bill from the network.'

Has anyone who has received cashback from CNM cancelled their itemised billing and still received cashback?
#39
Welcome to HUKD sallysimkin :)

Cancelling itemised billing shouldnt affect the cashback. However, pls confirm this with CNM ( 01270 412425 or 01785 214614 ).

the Mobile Outlet one does include Web & Walk though doesn't it? That may swing it for me....

Although....I've head dodgy stories about TMO!
