Seems legit, £79.99 which seems like a remarkable price.

#4
Not bad

Nice find!

Note that this is on the Orange Network and limited to one per customer.

I tried some promo codes i found on the net for £20 discount on orders over £300 as I was ordering 4 phones but it didnt work so I rang Currys and the guy said he'd give me the £20 discount after speaking to his manager but we got cut off.I rang back and spoke to someone else who said phones are limited to 2 per billing address but cleared a £10 discount with her manager. I also managed to get another 2 later but without discount
so I got 2 phones for £149.98
#7
I just got this for £69.99 with £10 credit
#8
care to share with us how you got it for that price?

Our instore POS for this claims it's only £79.99 when bought with £5 airtime, so in reality its £84.99.

I am guessing it's not like this online? (I've not looked).

Is this a good phone, I almost bought one yesterday as it looks nice. :)

That is because the thread is discussing the W810i and you are looking at the K810i.

Hi, I'm new, would anyone be able to give me details on how I can unlock one of these phones so I can put my O2 contract sim card in it? I don't mind paying a bit but everywhere I look seems to indicate that I need a special cable to unlock it and then they charge a fortune.

I live in a crap little town in Devon and the only place that unlocks phones quotes me £20 which seems steep.

Thanks in advance.

a) Take it to a shop / stall to do it for you
or
b) Buy cable, buy credit from people such as www.totalserver.net

You can't just feed a code in for nothing I'm afraid.

So you can't just use the USB that came with it? I guess I'll have to pay the £20 at my local Radio Shack. :( Was hoping it wouldn't be that much.

I think someone was saying that there is another site that uses a system using the enclosed USB lead instead of the special cable that www.totalserver.net supply but the credits cost more so it actually worked out more expensive but maybe not if you don't unbrand it too (see if you can find the other W810i thread where it was mentioned).

Good call (so to speak) ... that's what I did for the K750i I got - around the same price as going to the market and you can do again in the future.

Beware of this (Orange) phone!
There is a BARRING (not UNLOCKING) problem - see this thread:
