OneStopPhoneShop have a clearance version of the brilliant Sony Ericsson W810i Walkman phone with 9 months free line rental on a 12 month contract (after cashback). So, for £90 (after cashback), you get the refurbished W810i (for FREE!!), 12 months line rental (after which you can cancel), 200 x-net minutes per month and 300 text messages every month too on Virgin Mobile!!

The Sony Ericsson W810i is an update to the hugely popular W800i Walkman phone. New features include quad-band, EDGE and a new button layout. The internal memory has been reduced to 20 MB but a 512 MB Memory Stick Duo card is included in the package. The W810i has all other features from the W800i including a 2 megapixel camera, video and MP3 playback, Bluetooth, FM radio with RDS, 3D games, Java, web browser and email. The Sony Ericsson W810i is a very capable phone. It looks the part and has a straight-forward, easy to use design.

IMPORTANT: With all clearance phones there's no guarantee that you will get the memory card or other accessories. You often do get them, but it's luck of the draw.

This offer works by cashback which you claim from OneStopPhoneShop at specified intervals. If you wish you can purchase via QuidCo.com who will give you £20 in extra cashback, meaning that you can bring the minimum term cost down to just £70!! Remember to cancel itemised billing if you don't want it as o2 charge 99p per month for this service. You should make a chargeable call during your 12th month or you won't get the last bill you'll need for your claim. Remember to cancel the insurance if you don't want it as it's quite expensive. As usual, send claims recorded/special delivery as soon as you get the bill and you'll be fine.

Just trying to hunt down some newer high-performance phones for a change rather than the same old thing on 12 months free, like the K750i, 6111, V3, etc. lol. I'm a bit power-hungry with my mobiles today. :D

Forgot to mention in the main post!! With it being a clearance phone you aren't guaranteed to get the memory card or other accessories, however you may be lucky.

Thanks for this one duckmagicuk2.
Hopefully in a few months time they'll have a deal under £40/£50, then I might consider it, or maybe even e2save will have it and then I can get the £36.50 cashback which would make this more attractive.

Good spot though!

Yep, I'm sure it'll come down yet, a little bit like the W800i.

But I guess by that time you'll be saying the same thing about the W910i. :D

Does anyone have any opinions on Virgin Mobile as a company, good/bad customer service or coverage? I've been with Orange ever since I got a phone about 9 years ago, I'm fairly familiar with O2 as some friends use them but I don't know anyone with Virgin.

Is the offer already gone. Can't find the offer in OSPS site nor the link is working.

Link should be fixed now.

They're awkward the OSPS links... they mess up the BBCode because they use [ these brackets ] which close the [ url ] code too early, hence why I'm using TinyURL to avoid the problem. ;)

LoL - Probably right, it's just that my O2 contract is up in September so I want something soon and all these great deals you're posting are very tempting.
I'd be happy with a w810i or a k750i at the moment. I always wanted a V3 but then people actually got them and they aren't very nice to use.

Virgin uses the T-Mobile Network to provide coverage and as for Customer Service, Virgin are one of the best companies in the country for that. My friend who works for another Mobile Operator I won't name (in a Comm's/Customer Service role) wants to work for Virgin because of their Customer Service record and ethos.

Thanks, that's good to know. I think I'm gonna call them up and see if they are in stock before ordering. :)

edit: none in stock, the guy said around 7-10 days most likely.
