I'm looking for a new phone at the moment, and just noticed that Play have knocked another £10 off the SE W910i today. Pretty sure that is the cheapest I've seen it anywhere.
Phone details here:

Review here:

Not sure if/how it can be unlocked I'm afriad.

I read a few comments from satisfied owners on the HUKD forums recently.

My son has this phone & it's great. The 530i has a problem with the buttons cracking but this model is fine. Based on personal experience I'd say it's a good buy.

My 17year old daughter has this phone & trust me if it's still working with her at the controls - then it's good (she normaly breaks everything she touches!)

It also takes everything you throw at it - ringtones, pictures & games all easy to downlaod from mobile9.com

Personaly i would spend a couple of extra quid & get one from the carphone warehouse (ok you have to buy £10 credit but it's your choice whos credit you buy + & its a BIG + (the phone comes unlocked as standard)

if you fancy it in bronze check out www.prepaymania.co.uk who have it on vodafone for £85 when you use the £5 off voucher. i can also vouch for the K770i which is £65-£70 on most networks.

the W910i is great :-) i get a new phone approx every 6 months and i've had most phones (including the latest touch screen phones) but ive gone back to the W910i and i love it. the two drawbacks are the keypad isnt very tactile and it only has 2mp non autofocus non flash camera; but its got a massive screen, very loud speaker, its light, thin and it has fantastic media capabilities. the k770 has a 3.2MP camera with AF and flash if you're after a decent camera phone, but its no walkman phone.

forgot to mention, i bought mine from prepaymania and had no problems (apart from the five day delivery time). i got it unlocked for £7.95 with a code i bought off ebay (im on o2) and i de-branded it (got rid of vodafone software) for £10 from http://www1.davinciteam.com/

I got this phone recently to replace my old Walkman phone. I don't change my phones that often...had my last one 18 months and was loathe to replace but it kept turning off after it got dropped :whistling: ...so I want one that has all the features I need and will last.

I am very pleased with the phone and since I picked up a 4GB flash card from Play for £11.99 it can now hold a fair collection of music, photos and will even play mp4 movies.

I paid £99.99 for mine on the Orange network.

Ive got this phone and all I can say is i wish i had never had it! Software faults keeps freezing, going onto standby absolutly useless! First time it faultered I had it replaced and now they want to repair it so I would be without the phone for over a week which I think is rubbish when you pay a contract.

So my advice read the reviews and think hard before buying!

Not just me this has happened to, also a few of my friends and we are not all on the same network!

If your insurance covers accidental damage/water damage, leave it turned on and drop it into a cup of water, then ring it from another number, it'll soon **** it up!

My son had this phone and it has been a disaster - freezes all the time, jams when opening, corrupts the address book. I would not by another Sony Ericsson phone - Don't take my word for it or the few people in this forum, read the reviews on-line.

FWIW the problems are a software fault and other SE phones are fine.

Have you tried updating any of the phones using SEUS? For me (with my w960i) tricking it into thinking it was Generic (i.e. not an O2-branded phone) and then using SEUS to install the latest firmware was probably the best thing I ever did - sped it up no end.
