Good deal for a 12 month contract imo.

Just ordered. Never been with 3 before, hopefully all goes well.

Have just checked quidco and it has come up as £65. That brings it down to about £19.60 a month...

3000 text is alot though - I dont think many people could send that many in 1 month.

wanna bet? ask any kid!

Three are ok, they use roaming so you can normally get a pretty good signal in most places.

I also have an "unlimited" internet add-on on my phone, although unlimited actually means a 1Gb limit on data. Go figure :x

So unlimited isn't as good as they make it sound, a bit of a bummer.

I can still live with 500mins 3000texts for that price though. Wasnt particularly bothered about the phone, maybe thats why people aren't finding it as hot as me/

Paying the same for 750 minutes and unlimited txts with o2 (£5.50/m for unlimited txts) have been with o2 for a few years though and i did have to mention vodafone when i called them up to change my plan. ;-)

Seriously 3000 txt is around 100 sent a day! Thats alot in anyones book, you would do nothing but txt all day.

Dont forget quidco and RAF!

It is worth calling other companies like o2 before you sign up though, if you blag them and mention joining 3, orange or vodafone you can usually walk away with quite a good deal. Better phones also imho.
#13
Word of warning about the minutes. The first minute is per minute calling, therefore is rounded to a minute. I.e. if you make a 5 second call, it takes off 1 minute of your allowance, every minute after that is per second.

So if you make 500 2 second calls, all your allowance is gone! I think even if you get through to someone's voicemail, and hang up, you lose 1 minute of your allowance.
#14
This is an instore offer as well. The 6500S is available with the same package also.
#15
Quite a good deal for a 12 month contract, cos other networks will most likely do this package on an 18 month contract.
#16
are these phones any gud ive always fancied one but been put off by all the stories of the phones freezing a lot and turning themselves off?
#17
Yep they seem to be very buggy, however keep it updated and it should sort itself out.
#18
I have one of these phones and it does my head in as it keeps telling me I have an inactive sim so I have to turn it off and on. think I need an update though.

nothing to do with the phone

I am on a current 3 price plan, and they will not allow me to change or upgrade to any other price plan. Spent £30 more than my plan last month. It sucks that this offer is here now. Wish I could cancel and upgrade :@

Ordered a little while ago on three and can confirm they made good very quickly on the quidco which is already in my bank account. Were also pretty quick on the £30 refer a friend.

If anyone needs a number for Refer a Friend to get £30 then Private Message me. I can also send the details on exactly how to claim this and how to claim Quidco.
Cheers

Would you get the £30 as well?

Word of warning on three - customer service over the phone is appalling - so maybe buy from three stores so you can have some real person to discuss problems with.

I just asked for my PAC code from three, and after a lengthy debate about whether I could cancel, they finally cut me off without warning three days ago. Called them today, got my PAC code, but they would not reactivate my phone at all, claiming they had tried to contact me five times about it. Guess when all those attempts were made... within the last three days.

With open mouth I explained they had cut me off, hence I did not answer there calls about cutting me off. They apologised but regretted they could not reactivate the account now.

So yeah, three mobile - cheap, just about functional, customer service calls in excess of 30 mins for anything and if your unlucky, they will change your account without warning and not do a darn thing to fix it after 45 mins talking to different agents ! You certainly are getting what you pay for (almost)

Im stuck in a 3 contract, fianlly drawing to an end after 18 months, worst signal ever, it was always looking for a 3g signal (an option you cannot switch off) which drained the battery as no 3g around my area, they piggy back on other networks mainly tmobile and Orange and because of this you will get kicked off if the other providers need the extra bandwidth ( many a time dropped in good areas)
I maintain you cant beat Vodafone

O2 do for a start - no idea about the other ones but if the bill you per minute then otherwise a 1-minute call would be free...

why is this expired?

Because when I posted up the deal I entered that it expired 30th June. Thats what it said on the 3 website. Looks like its been extended now though if someone wants to unexpire?
