My daughter has this phone, and i can confirm that it is a great phone, she is a text ninja with it..........HOWEVER, video camera function no longer works, and as she has discovered with previous Sony brand phones, they are brilliant, but unreliable.

I've loved ALL my Sony Ericsson phones (K750i, K810i, and now this one). The K810i was bought thanks to HUKD and my mum has it, still going strong. My sister abuses phones so broke the poor K750.

Never had a bit of bother with them, ever. And all the SE's come with a 2 year warranty. My only woe is that all the great Android phones (such as HTC Desire) came out literally weeks after I paid £200 PAYG for mine. Bah. I use mine as a "walkman" as well as a phone, bunged a 16GB card in it. And my trusty Koss PortaPros!

The great thing about this one is that it has a headphone socket for once, which Sony Ericsson seemed to resist adding for years. You had to keep buying a dedicated adapter for the non-SE headphones, a bit of a pain. Downside of course, is that you have to buy M2 memory cards, though they're much cheaper than they were.

Unlike the more recent Sony Ericssons, the W995 got great reviews (the Satio and previous models all got a thorough bashing).

Video recording is a bit rubbish, but the camera's great and I'd recommend it otherwise. And you get sat nav/3G with this one. At the time it was compared to the more expensive C905 (which had reliability issues, otherwise I'd have went for that), but it doesn't have the C905's xenon flash.

Bought this instore today for £149.95 on a Vodafone PAYG upgrade. Just tell them a Vodafone PAYG phone number and you don't have to buy the topup. Good eh?

Phone is unbranded and unlocked out the box.

Paid £350 for this about a year ago, worth every penny imo, fantastic phone. Great deal at this price.

I used to have this phone but only had it a few months before changing. The internet is poor on it. If you want it for data usage then look elsewhere. The phone itself is good though.

Technically I paid £100 for it. Sold a brand new C905 which was a replacement from Sony, used the cash to buy this, bought it in the week of release, hence the price. Still, don't regret it at all.

I've had mine since not long after release, and have used the video function almost daily (don't ask...).
Everything still working perfectly.

My daughter like it so much I had to buy her one a couple of months ago (for £300 I might add...). She doesn't treat it with much resepct, and all functions are still working fine.

Damn damn damn sh*t sh*t sh*t
I've just bought, a couple of weeks ago, a Samsung Pixon 12 for more than £100 more than this. The sodding battery on it lasts a DAY, and its sluggish to use.
Id have snapped their hands off for this. This had problems, sure enough. But sure theyd found answers, and a 8 mp SONY camera is as good (Id say) as a 12 mp Samsung camera.
I repeat the first six words I used.....

Just slow and very dependent on wi-fi. I now have an iphone and wish i'd chosen that for the original contract. Texting and phone use is excellent though.

You can't put TomTom or Igo8 on this phone. You could try this>
