Hey guys another o2 deal. When i Phoned up to ask about the galaxy s on payg i asked what else has been a good seller and the girl said they have the X10 mini pro in at £189 + a mandatory £10 top up. Thats still 50 quid cheaper than Carphone warehouse.

I know its not a fully fledge android handset etc etc but everyone who has used one in any review has been really surprised at how good this handset has been and how quirky it is. Im actaully considering it myself.

I used one the other day and the keyboard is very nice to use and built very very well. £249 is too much for this but at 199 it is tempting. No branding but more than likely will be locked to o2

Really, wow, that's very good.
Do you know if that's in store. Sorry I'm asking questions that I could find out from a call to O2, but I'm at work :-(

Thanks.

Oh just saw the topic heading again, saying instore. I'll see if I can swing by town on the way home.
I've been looking on e bay, they seem to be going for a little more than that there.
Hmmm, I could wait as there are rumors of the Desire HD floating around the interweb?!!
#5
very web site it is £179.99 plus £4.95 with no top up
#6
@ caverncity thats only the x10 mini not the mini pro however they do have the mini pro as well but at £199 + delivery where as o2 you could have it in your hand tonight no waiting for delivery for the same price.
#7
When they say mini, think 'tiny'....unless you have really small hands you'll find this rather tricky to use.

thanks will go down to have a look tomorrow

I was offered the normal mini for £10 a month on upgrade from Voda a few weeks ago. If I remember right, that was for 100 mins, more texts than I'd use in a year - 500 I think - and an optional £5 interwobble.

For such a relatively new phone I get the impression they're trying their best to get shut of them. SE were always my 1st choice but in recent times (Vivaz, Satio sw probs) they seem to be making some howlers!

I would agree with you that in the past the SE phones have slid in quality and reliability but when you read reviews and actually use one you realise just how good this is. It has the ability to be another K800i and astound everyone with its sales. Even over at electric pig they say and i quote

"Still, if you must have dinky, and you must have QWERTY, you’ll love the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro. It’s the best phone the company’s made in a very, very long time."

I bought this instore today and when i got up to the till it was £179.99 so with the top up its £189 all in. I've kept my simplicity 12 month contract @ £10/month and added the data bolt on so its still cost less than taking the phone on a 24 mth contract @£25/month! Not bad i think!

Was it definitely this PRO version with the slide out keyboard as the O2 website quotes your price for the non-pro version? Good deal if so!

It also seems to be available in black at next.co.uk for £199 (not many good cashback deals on this).

While the price is nothing special compared with O2 and very.co.uk, I was left wondering whether the "next" phone is an unlocked version as it mentions no network unlike some of its other phones.

UPDATE - Have just phoned them and it is O2 only. So no benefit!

#18
I got one at the weekend for £179.99 instore, no topup needed in my case as I was already with O2.

Is this not available online? Online says the Pro is only on Pay Monthly. Looking to buy this PAYG for a contract sim.

Thanks
