Wow £519 really!

I'm not gonna vote but this is ridiculous price for a mobile imo.

Blimey!!!! That seems a ridiculous price to me, not voting either way though as someone may want to pay it.

I guess it is all relative when you look at other stuff on the market..

Yeah but a PSP is only £135 and a sim free HTC Wildfire is £200 so £520 still seems a lot of wonga!

There's NGP coming out with possible 3G (two models as one will have 3/4G and the other won't) so simply I'd rather get that since I'd rather have a kick-ass gaming system come crap phone rather than a good phone come crap gaming system. The problem I see is they are already announcing and emphasizing games on NGP but here they just mention it may be able to port PS1 games.

Yeah this isn't a patch (technology wise) on the NGP. If you want handheld gaming you would get the NGP and a cheaper phone. If you want to throw ya money away you'd buy this and have an average games and telephony device! :p

GeoHOT already planning of hacking this the day its released! In no time android phones with decent cpu and gpu will be able to match this :) what a waste of development !!!!!!!!!!

Sony, you are so good. Your NEX5 is the best thing ever. Your TVs are so good. Someone even said your PS3 is good (I use XBOX360 myself). Why oh why can't you get the PSP right ? The PSP 3000 was great. The PSP go was pants, this is good, but if you want to conquer the market, make this £199 ..... and quickly.

my 2 cents :)

I wouldn't trust the play.com's prices on products which haven't been released yet. they had the SE X10 listed at £500 prior to its release as well.

I think the biggest thing this has in it's favour at the moment is that it is android and therefore emulator friendly there will only be a few psx and android games that have been adapted to play on this when it is released but for people with a little know how it will also be able to play every PSX, snes, megadrive and GBA game ever released, that for me makes it awfully tempting but not if they are expecting me to pay this price make it £300 and I'll probably bite (I think 199 is a tad unrealistic considering this is pretty similar in spec to a htc desire just with physical controls.)

I think this phone could really come into it's own if they time a price cut to coincide with the release of the playstation suite app but that sounds far too sensible for it to be a sony policy (please sony prove me wrong).

This phone looks amazing.

All those emulators just ready to be played!

No need for a hack, it's Android.

The vids on youtube of N64 on it etc are great.

I don't care if it isn't as powerful as the NGP - when I go out, I can only realistically carry 1 device. It has to be a phone. If this is a phone, a games machine and a portable emulator all in one then I am sold. Well, not until it's half this price but I will get one eventually!
