Why not get a Jessops 360AFD instead? Only £69.99 right now and it supports TTL metering on Sony Alpha bodies.

If you only want to change your Sony/Konica proprietor hotshoe to a standard hotshoe to use your camera with astudio flash or a manual flash, there are very cheap adapters around, for about £5. They don't have surge protection, so you need to find out about your flash's trigger voltage (list on the net or manufactorer).

This Sony adapter seem a bit of a ripp-off to me, because it is way too expensive. It would be cheaper to buy a third party dedicated flash with a Sony hotshoe.

Just had a look. Of course it's a ripp-off. Look at the RRP. Never a Sony for me than if that's how they conduct their business.
