    There's two newer models in the range now - the as30 and the as100 (the as100 is really something) but for 100 clams, it's had to argue with this - heat!

    Please be aware that the camera housing is not rated to 60m but only 5m - you have to purchase an additional housing which costs around £40 to get the depth rating. To be honest there doesn't seem to be much of a difference
    Got my AS30v in Singapore about a year ago with some accessories for about £200 so very hot deal if you get the AS30v
    Very pleased with the video from the camera - i have it mostly mounted on my bike but we're about to go on holiday diving so it'll get a test there

    No need to justify it to anyone, if you don't want it, move on, no biggie (surely you don't buy every deal on here?!?!).

I ideally want it for a headcam for the bike but this seems to need an expensive add-on to,achieve that, then again I'm thinking perhaps a dashcam?? I like the idea of underwater filming, would be great to get some family stuff in the pool with the little 'un but that's so few and far between that it seems a bit expensive!? What to do......

    They're not really meant to perform as standard home video cameras but more for faster movement. Lower pixels, faster processing, clearer footage.

    Don't worry about it.
    Was on the phone to their customer service, they stated that the cashier should have told me that it wasn't the as15, but the as30 (they didn't) so said it's fine to return if it's unopened.
    Contacted the manager and said it's fine.

    I've just come back from Cuba, and a guy doing the Scuba Diving with us … I've just come back from Cuba, and a guy doing the Scuba Diving with us had one of these attached to his mask. After the trip he asked if he could have my footage sent to him, as his (this camera) had recorded things, but wouldn't play back. I had a quick look and the footage was there but was some how corrupt. Probably recoverable using the supplied sony software or even external software, but that put me right off.My chinese SJ1000 and the missus using my Mobius (with a JooVuu Waterproof Case) worked very well indeed and both combined cost around the same as this.

    I also got fobbed off with the computer system excuse at Argos … I also got fobbed off with the computer system excuse at Argos Hammersmith. They were apparently due two lots of stock within the last month and received neither. I asked why they hadn't emailed to say there was no stock and was told that I could have phoned to check and the manager said she'd give me the number of the store for next time! She looked quite offended when I told her not to bother as I wouldn't use their online ordering again.Extremely poor customer service. I wouldn't have minded if they'd emailed to let me know there had been an error once the problem had been identified but according to the manager I was the 6th person to come to the store today to collect one of these and they had all been turned away too. Looks like there are a couple on here already!

Or everyone got the AS30??I have one on reserve and due to pick up tomorrow, and just wondering how much of a hassle it's gonna be!!Did they just say "we havent any of the AS15's so we'll give you the AS30 instead" or ???Cheers to the OP for the heads up, and good to see so many people getting a free upgrade!



    I was in a similar position to you so I spoke to the store I was collecting from and asked if they could check. Apparently the SYSTEM warns them to tell you that it may be replaced by the as30. Whether yours will be is down to stock, if it's a trek for you to get there, I would advise to call them (saynoto0870 will get you the direct line number if you're lucky), they confirmed that mine was there and was the as30v model, I just changed my mind at the last minute and didn't collect.
