this deal requires no 'dodgy' :whistling: codes and is a good honest bargain

I've had this phone a few months now and it really is superb!

The MP3 is great and so is the crystal clear RDS FM radio. The camera's not bad too.

Except its actually £69 as you have to buy the £10 sub too.

Both are great phones tho but the K750i actually has a BETTER handsfree speaker than the w810i.

Not that I need one (i've already got one) but how're you getting that price? It's coming up at £49.99 for me.

Hmm the W810i was a later model than the K750i and in same price range so id imagine the camera would be better or at least the same with them both being 2meg cameras (you getting mixed up with the K800i?)

There both very good imo and great for that price ...Also in the past ive owned a 02 K750i and it was sim free though i aint saying that they all are but id be suprised if they wasn't :whistling:

do you mean the W810i is coming up as £49.99 ?

Gr8 find shame I'm on 3 - is this phone unlockable and is so will it work with a 3 sim card????
#16
I had this phone on contract, in the end I had to buy a different one as the menu icon/joystick in the center of the phone under the screen broke and would not work.

Saying that - I now have a W880i so it didn't put me off Sony Ericsson, just that design.
Its not uncommon for this problem either from what I read

Yep, that's how mine bit the dust. 1 month out of warranty too. The K800 I replaced it with had no such problem, even though the joystick was very similar.

Nice phone, great price, voted hot.

I already have this phone and have no problems with it.
A cracking phone and a bargain at this price.

Voted hot and rep given.
#20
how do u give rep??? by the way voted hot, great find.
#21
If you are already on O2 you can get 10% of the value of your tops ups (past 2 years or since last upgrade I think) back and use it as discount off the phone or credited to your account in call time.

You need to phone to get the discount - so no quidco - but if you spend a lot on topups it might be worth it.

gutted, i just bought one from ebay 2nd hand for 40 quid, got to say though amazing phone for the money, the radio is very clear and mp3's sound great, you can get an adaptor on ebay for 99p to enable you to plug your own or any 3.5mm headphones in and replacement joysticks are about 3 quid should you suffer the dreaded joystick problem!
#27
Very interested in this, since I'm on an O2 contract and am currently using a VERY old and battered Nokia phone.
In the past, whenever I've renewed my contract I've just got the most expensive free phone avialable, sold in on Ebay for about £200, then stuck with my old phone.

Finally decided last week that it's time I upgraded to something modern.

One question for owners of this phone. Does it have a voice recorder (ie. dictaphone type feature), as this is pretty important to me ?
#28
when i bought this phone from an 02 store they also gave me 30quid trade in on an old phone and also i could have 15quid credit or 10quid of the handset for upgrading, it could be more or less depending on how much you've topped up an existing 02 phone in the last 6 months
#29

There's £20 off that, see w810i Orange thread.

Yep, its got voice recording, it is only good when the mic/phone is near you, so not very good if you want to record a lecture - but perfect for personal notes. hth.

That's strange as the hardware is essentially the same in both phones, you can even convert a K750 into a W810 http://www.globalmob.net/cms/html/modules/news/article.php?storyid=16
#33
I already have this phone and it's excellent. It was £150 last summer. I've had mine f/w flashed to that of the W800i model which replaces the standard MP3 player with the Sony Walkman feature!

Martin it does have a dictaphone aswell.

There's no free unlock codes for it if that's what you mean? If you want to do it yourself then you need cables.
#35
I got mine done by a postal service on E Bay they chraged £7 to unlock or £9 unlock debrand and flash the firmware to W800i.

It came back within 48 hours aswell which was excellent.

the k750i can be flashed to w800i not w810i.

There's £20 off that, see w810i Orange thread.

That is using a code for employees of wincanton, not for general public use.

i bought motorola l6 pay as you go few months ago from o2 via online . they took the money and never send the phone over 2 month and no response from them. so i call the customer service and even they coudnt see my order details but they know they got my money. so i told them cancel all my transaction and send my money back to my credit card. (usually all da online shop do fast and friendly) but o2 ask me send my driving licence or passport and last 3 month bank statement.. i ask them .. what the hell is this?? thay said this is the procedure... so faxed my details and still no response and i called back they said they didnt receve the fax, 2nd time also they didnt get the fax. finally 3rd time they got my fax.. but when i call they said they want the bank statement with the current transaction on it... i went mad,, i send the 4th fax,,, finally i got my £49 back and i spend around £20 for calling 0845 / 0870 numbers and fax... all this fun for just pay as you go mobile.:x .

The K750 uses a very high quality lens, one that was only used in this model. Due to cost this was replaced in all 2mp models that followed. I have even seen reviews that state that the K750 even produces better pictures than a K800.

If you search Flickr.com for K750 you'll be amazed at the quality of some of the images on there - hard to believe they are from a camera phone.

i bought a k750i from carphone warehouse when they wre new as payg . was informed that model was unlocked so the guy sold me the 02 version of it , which was 20 quid cheaper than orange at the time , the phone excepted my orgae sim straight away no probs . this was 18 months ago , so dont know whether things have changed
