Pretty decent TV for the price, about as good as you'll get without OLED for under £1500. Makes a good stab at HDR too. VA panel. Shame it isn't passive 3d and comes with android, but you can't have it all.

Costco charge membership, however richersounds (and possibly john lewis) have been known to price match and probably the better bet.

Avoid this like the plague if you value your sanity.

I got this 6 months ago, based on research and spec.

The reality is.... sluggish menu, won't connect to its own SONY branded Wireless Soundbar on a regular basis and after just 4-6 months, the TV dies altogether, no power.

There are lots of people finding their XD9305s getting bricked after just 6 months of ownership. Mine is currently dead and it's a full 5 days wait just for an initial engineers visit..... oO

Never buy Sony, the build quality and support is the worst out there.

My recommendation is go for an LG OLED (2016 range and above only) and stay clear of Fony Sony

P.S. Buying from Richer Sounds means nothing as far as Warranty is concerned.
Richer sounds won't touch it the warranty (they know the score) and will pass you over to Sonys slow centre, I mean support centre

I have to agree with Sharpharp. I have an 8005 and it's terrible. Slow unresponsive. Would never buy Sony again

Find this interesting when i was slagged off yesterday for suggesting people steer clear of Samsung due to similar poor customer service and current dodgy reliability. Was told ... 'dont deal with the manufacturer... always go back to the retailer'. Not as easy as that perhaps?

On the subject of this deal though Costco do have a good rep i have heard for swapping tellies though if they have failed.

Really? Thought richer sounds were supposed to be the Amazon of the brick and mortar world? Shame.

I think you'll find issues with any set, the b6 oled are still a no go for gamers as I believe it hasn't had the firmware update, the new oled sets don't even have 3d.

You can't beat Costco for returns, no one comes close in my experience. It's the big attraction for me in buying electricals/electronics from them.

I'd suggest a Panasonic. I got a great deal on a TX-58DX750B 58" on Black Friday. It replaced the 37" Panasonic plasma that I've had for 10+ years which still looks as good today as it did the day I bought it. Price has increased now but Currys have the 58DX750B for £1,099.

And the threads at avforums say this is a great TV with only a few saying problems have occurred.

The OLED thread is choc full of people complaining... As with all tvs its a panel lottery if you drop in then great.
