When doing a price comparison It appears that a lot of retailers are quoting the price after the Sony VAT cashback. e.g. RGBDirect, etc.

Just checked with Best Buy call centre ref the model. ... It is definately the EX403U model :)

Also Best Buy are part of the Sony VAT promo ... check this link

http://campaign.odw.sony-europe.com/cross/H164/pdf/VAT-back_participating_stores.pdf

They are listed between Argos and Comet

With Sony VAT cashback and the Best Buy VAT cashback through Quidco/TCB this is one great deal. Voted hot !

@ £299 that's a good deal! But, I think it must be local as mine has just quoted me £410.02 for the 403u, with the VAT back this bring it down to £348.97.

Hi all with the DNLA feature can I stream movies via wifi using Tversity from my PC.? I use tversity to stream movies to the PS3.
#8
Decent price. We got a 32 inch Sony 1080p LED TV for £500 with an Amazon promotional code at the end of August so not for me.
#9
I bought one of these recently for the spare room - quite happy expect that I paid about £50 more. Haven't used half of the features though.
#10
Good luck getting Quidco (haven't tried TCB) to work with Best Buy. The problem is with Best Buy - although they have been claiming for a fortnight that its an issue with Quidco, but this morning the Quidclans thread has been updated to indicate that Best Buy have finally admitted its their own fault. I suspect that there's a limit on what they will give cashback, good luck to anyone who can get this - I decided to buy my TV from Amazon because I've no faith that a high end purchase from Best Buy will track, or be honoured.
#11
Amazon price now down to £368.99 less the Sony VAT, which I think would make it £314. OK BestBuy is still slightly cheaper but relies on cash back tracking.
#12
Hmmmmm, Quidco and TCB were set to end on 7th, they have obviously extended it.........
banned#13
I got one of these from Comet yesterday. £368.99 then £11.07 Quidco and then Sony VAT back on top so a similar price. Clcik and collect from Store too so got same day.

Great telly, really pleased with it.
#14
Good price but keep an eye on other retailers for other options. I bought this on Monday from Amazon at £368.99 and then Sony cash back.

Yes; but you will need a wired connection. I don't believe this TV has wifi built-in. You will need to buy the optional adaptor if you want wifi UWA-BR100 Adaptor.

VAT return form is available, it reduces the price by £63.89 which brings down the price to £365.11, but how to claim second half not getting, i mean next £64.03
#17
it's a good deal
#18
I've given up on Quidco and Topcashback really, I never get any large claims. I have 4 claims of over 30 pounds that have been stuck for about 3-4 months each.

It happens.
I got my cashback from O2 by Quidco ,and it took me whole year!
#22
By my calculation the final price after cashback is £311.47 as Best Buy cashback is on the price without VAT ie 14.89% of £365.95.
My topcashback did track last week but took about 3 days.
#23
I ordered 40" 403U a couple of weeks ago and the Quidco is tracking. Sent off my VAT claim.
I'm really happy with it. Great price on 32" if Quidco tracks and VAT back.

What? Did Amazon and Comet really both reduce this TV down to £368 yesterday?! I can't believe it, I've been after that kinda price drop for ages now, they both display £409 again now though! And I'm not doing this deal, I've been screwed over in the past by failed cashbacks.

£348.09 (after VAT back) at John Lewis with a 5 year warranty. The piece of mind, for me, goes a long way..
Still a HOT deal though!

The 5yr warranty is easily worth the extra £50 imo.

I would get one through Marks and spencer via quidco and you then get some cashback o.k only 3% but you will get 5 years piece of mind with their warranty.
I think total price is £330 ish.
Have a look at this post a no brainer for this tv in my eyes The best deal for this tv

I agree if you want an additional warranty then it would be a better deal. But M&S have increased the price to £499.00 before cashback. Total price after all deductions would be £409.73

The best deal is at Marks and Spencer which is doing this for £410 today together with a five year warranty and free delivery. This is eligible for the Vat back so reducing it to approx £349 and 3% TCB. It also comes with a dongle wireless internet
The next best deal is at John Lewis at £409 with free delivery and five year warranty and Sony Vat back.
I have just bought one and its excellent value for money

Yep, gotta agree with you. If you want a warranty for £47-ish then M&S or JL would be a much better deal.

I think the 'U' just indicates that it's for the UK market doesn't it?

Does this really come with the dongle? Can't see this on M&S website. Best deal if so.

Best buy have lost my business, have been trying to buy this for two weeks through quidco and constantly fails. Customer service have basicly said tough and will have to order without QC!

I lifted the specs from the Sony site and they're exactly the same as Best Buys. So no difference AFAIK.

Best Buy will try and squirm out of anything they can. Great customer service on the phone prior to purchase, terrible honesty afterwards. Nice with it but just ****, fed by the bosses.
