lol, thanks now I see it.

Good deal suppose if you can get quidco too that would make it even better.

Been waiting for the TV to drop in price for a while. Was £349 before the VAT back deal started.

True, But I think is the cheapest ever with a 5 Yr Warranty Included, I reckon M+S will be around another 5 Years

Yes very very tempting.

Heat added.

Bought this TV when it was the same price at John Lewis. Excellent TV, and cannot fault it at all.

Bought one of these about 2 weeks ago from a Currys clearance store (brand new, boxed) they have them for £347 before VAT back (£287 after redemption), good deal if you have one near you. If not this is not much more and you get the 5 year warranty. I'm really happy with it and the Freeview HD is amazing!
suspended#8
supports 24fps but its only 50hz tho.
#9
I want it but 32" just seems to small for even a toilet now that 42" is the norm for cheap tvs.

The Samsung LE32C530 seems to produce a better picture for less money, having seen and played with them both side by side in a couple of shops. (Currys and Comet)

i have both and I have to say the Sony is much better overall in terms of picture, design and build quality. Maybe currys didnt bother setting the right contrasts and brightness etc making the picture not look good. A matter of opinion I suppose.

Currys wouldn't even know how to set up a torch, don't worry about a TV.(_;)

#16
But the tv doesn't cost 410, it costs 499. You can't get it for 349 in m&s!?

TV is £499, therefore totals I get at checkout are as follows, what am I doing wrong :(?

Items £499.00
Delivery £3.50
Sony 32" EX403 -£88.93
ORDER TOTAL: £413.57
#21
what is the deal with 50hz screens over 100hz. is it really something to be concerned about in this size TV running HD ?
#22
You have to claim the vat back - there is a link for the form (pdf format)
#23
I think you £88 is a M&S discount, and you get the VAT back as well
#24
I've been watching this on amazon for ages: it was £369.00 plus 10% off a couple of months ago (wish i'd bought then!), then it shot up to £449.00 just in time for the sony VAT back promotion. It's now down to £409.00, appears they're price matching M&S, however of course you won't get the guarentee. Think i'll keep watching for now as the £88 off at M&S lasts until 8th december.

Has anyone got this tv? would they recommend it?

Ok,I just bought it (to go with the PS3 from Zavvi for £207 which is a present for the OH). There is a code for free delivery as well PERWEB01 so I am well happy and poor.

Hot! :)

TV is amazing, Sony is a quality brand and the Bravia engine performs very well. Freeview HD built in is very sharp and definitely noticable difference over SD. The TV guide is very simple to use and allows you to set reminders so that the programme automatically switches over for you. I've watched sports on it and it was very impressive at 50hz, at 32" you really don't need it to be any higher.

I have PS3 hooked up to it with HDMI and optical audio cable (cables from poundland) for full 1080 picture and sound. Have purchased a couple of blu rays but not watched them yet. Have watched a DVD via the PS3 and it upscales to HD very well, so well that I'm not convinced that there will be a massive difference to blu ray.

Gaming is also very good. I can't claim to be a massive gamer, but currently slowly working my way through GTA IV on it and I haven't noticed any lag or ghosting.

I did quite a bit of research before buying and I'm more than happy. For a simple, easy to understand review have a look here- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4EqZQivPg8

I have just bought this television from my local Co- op. Coventry area. After using members current 15% off (you join for a £1) plus the Sony vat offer back, It will end up costing around £317 in total. It comes with a 5yr guarantee and I have also got it on 10months interest free. Painless.
Hurry as this offer ends tomorrow.

Perhaps it's worth explaining to those who can't google for Sony VAT back how that bit actually works

Well done, 1st post and it's a snotty one!

Perhaps ANDYF was referring to the Co-op 15% members discount and NOT the Sony VAT Back

Nice picture, only niggly annoyance is the blank screen & black banner on top of screen displaying the channel name, which last for a few seconds or so when changing channels.

I would stick with the 40". I bought 42" for a 14.5 FT Sq room thinking 46 was too big. As soon as I got home I thought the 42" was only just big enough!
