this is too much money for an lcd tv when you consider the other deals that are available. even if its the latest technology it costs twice as much as another sony 32" lcd on here. welcome to the forum :prop:

John Lewis had the 32" v4000 only days ago for 299 (inc 5 year guarantee). This was one of the best deals this forum has seen in a while. I think it's now expired. The reviewers say the V series has just as good a picture as the W series (minus a few techno features) and it doesn't deserve the jump in price.

Much too expensive compared to other offers currently on HUKD.
It's going to get chilly!

dixons have it for around £320 del 1yr gt

thats the v series one

I think you're all being a bit unfair. The other TVs are cheaper because believe it or not, they're not as good!

You get what you pay for.

If anyone can find this TV cheaper then let us know. Otherwise this is a hot deal. You can't vote cold because you personally would rather spend less money on an inferior TV. The whole point of HUKD is to find good deals on specific products.

For anyone wanting to buy this specific TV this is a great deal!

yeah right! I think you need to check your glasses prescription and look at the V and W letters again

As an aside, I still can't get my head around some people voting on here. I can understand people voting cold when items are cheaper elsewhere .. but this is the cheapest you can buy THIS TV. It's either they have no clue and just see SONY 32" and automatically think this is a bad deal or something else? :?

Yes there are cheaper Sony TVs available and yes there are other brands that are cheaper (no argument there) BUT as I said, this is the cheapest you can get this set at the moment (from a quick Google search) and there may be some people that are ONLY interested in this TV so give the OP a break.

Anyway, heat added from me. ;-)

the voting has been very very strange on here over the last few weeks!

the vast majority of users when looking for a 32" lcd tv will look at:

1. LCD TV
2. 32"

and probably 3. SONY whether they are looking at this forum or in currys or on another website. to be fair that's all the vast majority of users are interested in. for a 32" tv this is a cold deal, purely because it's so expensive- it doesn't matter that it's all singing or all dancing! we're on a bargain hunting website- not many people will pay £600 for a 32" TV when you can get one for £300, as not many people will appreciate the benefits this has over inferior subjects. that's my view on the subject anyway and i believe people are entitled to vote cold on this basis

we are on a bargain forum and this is a bargain for what it is. are you saying no deals over £300 should be posted here?

I have desperstely been waiting for this tv to drop in price and although I was very much tempted by the
kdl 32v4000 model I am clinging to the hope that this tv may drop a little further as we progress into Jan.
However this morning i noticed that this tv has dropped to £583 at RGBDirect plus bronze and silver delivery is FREE. Can anybody beat this.

there is a difference between a good tv and a rubbish tv (not saying the v series is rubbish). When I buy a tv, it would be in the room for at least 3 years, so no way im going to buy an inferior model when I can afford to get a better one, even if a little bit better to get that better viewing.
