Got this before the World Cup for a similar price from Tesco (after trade in etc). Excellent quality and glad I didn't spend the extra £200 for 100hz motionflow as not a very noticeable difference. Voted hot - great price for a very good TV.

By the way - don't purchase the wifi dongle, get some homeplugs from eBay instead - approx £35 for a pair. Half the price and you can also use elsewhere if necessary.

Oooooooh... Very tempting! I wish you lot wouldn't post deals about flat screen TVs, your going to make me buy one soon and then I'll be in bother with the missus! :D

Got this TV in MAY from currys with the World Cup Offer. Excellent Price and a very good TV. Would recommend.
#5
That's odd...I posted this TV at the weekend for £455 with a 3 year guarantee and it barely got tepid, never mind hot!

Yeah if you were to use Argos with free delivery code AFD and then topcashback for the 3% rate that would be cheapest i guess.
#11
Although not sure if they allow two voucher codes on one order.
#12
Won't let you, this is still the cheapest deal.
#13
Has this TV got a glossy finish
#14
3% Quidco too...
#15

£499 at local Sony Centre with 5 year parts and service warranty.

It's tempting but is there likely to be flat panel tv price wars in the run up to Christmas?
#20
Shocking input lag.
#21
Any good for playing xbox 360 on? or useless cause of the lag or whatever?
#22
Probably not, lag is rated at 40ms or higher. You best bet is the Samsung C530 with 14ms lag.

I keep thinking that there's surely got to be a lower cost way to connect the Sony Bravia TV's to the internet, other than using a direct wired ethernet connection between TV and router.

Does anyone know of a (sub £10, say) ethernet to wifi box convertor of tricks (e.g. deal extreme), or even if an old wi-fi router can be re-flashed to just implement this function?

I once tried using two spare Netgear DG834G to wirelessly bridge a link but got lost with all the settings needed and didn't have any success.

What is the exact model number of the C530 as google results show loads of tvs :(

get the sony centre deal (instore) on the 40ex503.... £599.99 with stand, blu ray and 5 yr guarantee. ex503 is a better telly imo.

I bought the Sony KDL46EX503U during the world cup promotion, the tv is very good, even when using a Sky+ box, pictures appear as if it has been upscaled.

actually.. you don't have to trade in your old TV and you still get it at this price, but I don't think they would do the blu ray player and stand though.

This code isn't working for me at argos? they have £20 voucher back on a £100 spend on too.
#34
So now is not the time to buy, until you find out the exact dates and T&C's for Sony's Xmas offer of your VAT back. That would be a whopping £67 refund.
