Its a good price but I'd never buy anything from Pixmania again. I bought a PS3 with a hard drive and they failed to send the drive and then "pretended" it wasn't part of my ordered. The problem is there is no mechanism to complain, send screenshots of your order etc. It took me 3 months and a lot of hassle just to get a refund. Oh yeah and because the company is registered in France, Trading Standards can't help either.
Pixmania is fine if the transaction goes well, but be warned if you need to deal with their customer services.
Shame because this is the TV I've been after too!

Just remember that Pixmania is part of the DSGI Group (Currys, Dixons & PC World) that is not exactly doing very well at the moment!!

It's the same with Dabs.com and BTShop. I'd stay away from all three. You often get continental plugs and french manuals with your order from Pixmania.

not only that but a lot of items i've been told won't be covered on your home insurance as not uk bought?? thats what the guy at jessops told me when we bought our camera

Good deal, remember to use Quidco (4%) and £10 off code Pixsales0910.

I ordered this item last night, just got a email from Pixmania (31/01/09) telling me that the item is out of stock! So I went back onto the website and they are still showing in stock status.

Has anyone else had the same problem?

A delivery driver for Pixmania/Curry's said to me yesterday that they are just as busy as they have ever been and I'm sure I heard Curry's mentioned on TV recently for doing very well despite the credit crunch.

Why do you think they are not doing very well at the moment?

True, their customer service is appalling!

It took 6 weeks to sort my order out. Total nightmare!

BTW, don't bother with the Pixmania phone number as you'll end up with a hefty phone bill. I couldn'd get through after numerous attempts. It's better just to email them. They always responded within 48hrs but alas, with broken promises. Basically, there's a distinct lack of communication between Pixmania & Currys!

There would have to be some real serious discount for me to ever order from these jokers again.

Just got another email from Pixmania,

"Unfortunately, the product you ordered is not in stock at the moment. We expect a delivery to our warehouse on 2009-02-14
As soon as we have received your product in our warehouse, we will dispatch your order."

How can they still advertise this item as "in stock"? There are going to be a lot of disappointed customer...

I don't know what to do! Cancel the order? The cheapest elsewhere is around £350.
Does anyone else know where I can get it for less?

I have also got the same message "We expect a delivery to our warehouse on 2009-02-13" and hence cancelled the order.
